Draught at OíNeills, Dublin. Near black, rich creamy head. Mildly roasty nose. Dryish, creamy and light bodied. Some roasty coffee - a bit diluted compared to Guinness Draught, but still functional. Good for a low alcohol.

Can @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is close to black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, water, notes of licorice and notes of caramel. Nice aroma but taste is lacking.

Can. A big, light beige head forms over a reddish dark, dark brown body. Soon diminishing into a thin, creamy layer. Rather weak on the nose, roasted mostly, some coffee and dried fruits in the back. Roasted flavor, a rye bread touch and some dried fruits. Very watery on the palate, creamy and soft. Roasted, bitter finish. A decent one considering the strength, but way, way too watery. 120819

UPDATED: SEP 20, 2012 Canned 26/04/12. A dark mahogany coloured beer with a widgeted thick creamy off-white head. A dry roasty aroma like its big brother. A similar taste too; maybe a bit more watery. Itís not obviously only 2.8% and is actually quite pleasant all things considered. Score 2.9

Can. Very dark brown with a firm cream foam. Aromas are dark treacle with brown sugar and nutty coffee. Earthy peat with dusty carbonation. Flavours are dry, earthy and nutty with roast coffee and a light fruitiness. Dusty and dry to finish. Not bad.
