3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: pours like a traditional Guinness Extra Stout, North American version--the usual dark brown pour with a rocky, foamy dark tan head. Aroma: roast dominates, with a hint of wet granite and a surprising nutty note. Taste: bittersweet dark chocolate, roast coffee, slightly burnt nuts, toasted black bread. Finish: slight minerality and lingering roasty notes, with a hint of herbal hops. Notes: There was a palpable difference between this and all the other Guinness varieties Iíve tried. Namely, the slight nuttiness and a bit of mineral water character in the finish. Extreme drinkability was of course consistent. Cool, fat screwtop bottle brought back from Scotland by Zoltan.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Good stout. When Iím in need I can always count on it since the quality is very repetetive and you can find it literally everywher in the world. However itís loosing with any homebrewed stout I know.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20

Aroma: Nutty, cacao, dried fruit, roasted
Appearance: Black body. Light-brown head. Good lacing.
Flavour: Light sweetness, cacao, dry, medium astringency
Palate: Medium-light carbonation, fizzy carbonation.
Overall: A good dry stout, but I still prefer a real Guinness, on tap, in Dublin!
275 ml bottle, poured. Thanks Andre!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.5 l can from Dublin Airport. Almost no head at all and no nitrogen. This has more taste (malts and hops) than the draught Guinness. Quite nice even with the bitterness from hops. The can I bought had just 4.2% of alcohol.
