If you were in a pub sometime between 1821 and 1970, chances are this is the Guinness you would have been drinking. Originally brewed as the XX version of our Porter, it’s hoppy, roasty, and crisp, with a bittersweet finish.

500ml can from Ireland. The beer starts malty-roasted. Guinness-typical, easy to drink but still deep. Roasted oats, smooth bitter, fresh and easy to drink. Nice bitter roasted aftertaste, quite dry, fresh, smooth and full. Nice roasted, dry, great!

A classic, pours dark ruby red/black with bubbly head. Aroma of toasted malt, notes of dark fruit, biscuit, slight cofee and mild floral hop. Taste is medium bitter and mild bitter-sweetness. Lively carbonation and slightly slick mouth feel. Lovely.

Can / bottle in Ireland with the family - July 2015. Pours a deep blackish brown the way Guinness does. Mouthfeel is medium to light bodied with notes of soft roast, light milk/lactose and gentle coffee.

Bottle. The label said 4.2 rather than 4.3. Black with a small head. Some maltiness but no stand out flavours.Cant believe that I haven’t tried this before not that it was a great miss. Rather disappointing.

Fľaša 0,33 l zo supermarketu. Pivo tmavé ako noc, takmer nepriehladné, hustá hnedá krémová, dobre držiaca pena, sladkasto kávová aróma. Nižšia rezkosť, trochu vodové, horkosť, chuť zhorenej kávy. Pravdupovediac, pil som aj lepšie stouty.

Pours black with a good white foamy head. A little red wine to the aroma, roasted barley and earth. A little over carbonated for me when it comes to Guinness. A bit bland too, some earthy notes with just a hint of bitterness

Spina.

500ml . in a pint jug . i thought I had rated this Guinness variant , but no ...bro , large foamy ass beige khaki head above burnt black cole/purple morphed beer . ... of roast malts , coffee , rich coffee , lactose . oily m dry , rich and rounded palate . slick notes of coffee roast from the roasted malt expressions ..bitter , chewy . A gud easy to boost dry stout ,nothin’ flash or fancy .
