Bottle. Might end up being the same thing as the Canadian-made one, local lager mixed with Dublin extract (so an alias). Pours mostly black, with a thin head. The aroma is chocolatey and a little bit toffeeish. Has some fizziness, some chocolate and sweeter caramel character. Sweet accent in the finish, again with some caramels. Not a lot of roast, nor is there much bitterness. Kind and gentle, this one.

300 ml bottle, clear it dark-brown color with thin late color foam. taste are a bitterness with some kind black chocolate and oak. aftertaste are oak caramel. i haven’t the rich roast taste and strong foam like Guinness draft , so that’s why i disappointed that beer ... by the way that Guinness that i bought had the same as pictured but was for Russian market

Pours near black with a fizzy, thin head, aroma chocolate, tastes like a bitter lager, definitely not what I expect from a stout. Guinness should be ashamed to put there name on this swill

Guinness original st. James gate Dublin. 330ml pullo Puolasta. Makeahko tuoksu, vetinen suutuntuma. Ei juurikaan kehuttavaa.

Pours black with a fizzy black head. Aroma is lager skunk, roasted malts and some chocolate. Fizzy mouth feel. Aftertaste is floral, bitter, citric and some roasted malts. Overall: Skunky lager version of a dark beer. This is not Guinness.

Bottle. Almost black color, some light brown head. Creamy and roasty aroma, vanilla. Roasted taste, little bit watery, some vanilla and smoothness.

Bottle, labeled ’Guiness Original, 5%’, apparently intended for the russian market. This probably isn’t really the same beer, as I doubt mine was made in south Africa, but not willing to add yet another guinness, and as the previous ratings describe well the crap I’m drinking, I’ll use this one. Black in colour, light on palate. Feels and tastes like a bulk lager mixed with dark malt extract and old socks. Horrible stuff.

zenkis (497) - Ogre, LATVIA - MAY 22, 2013
bottle, ABV 5% Pours dark brown with copper reddish tones, beige creamy tan top, frothy foam, above medium lacing. Aroma- first was strong boiled vegetables, ginger, so it stays. Taste is semisweet, a mild bitter, mild sour. Minimal toasted malt. Medium body, compoty mouthfeel, minimal dry finish, not long. O.A. - what the f....k is that? Definitely not dry stout.

AtronSeige (473) - Johannesburg, SOUTH AFRICA - MAR 15, 2013
Pours near pitch black with fine light-brown head that slowly recedes. Carbonation is visible, but the bubbles are really small. Bitter cocoa aroma. Roasted bitterness is initial taste, with a lasting dry bitterness. Very fizzy on the tongue. Medium bodied. I enjoy this beer, but the bitterness does make it difficult to drink a lot. Definitely great with stews (in and next to). 660ml Bottle, poured.
