2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
440ml nitro can. Well it says stout on the can but this is listed as an irish ale. Heavy cascading brown pour with a small creamy white head. Aroma is savory yeast, herbal english hop notes, slight roast. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, the flavor slightly less cocoa forward than the average guiness and not as sweet. Its decent but prefer he original.

Funny, I looked at most recent reviews and slowrunner77 has pretty much the same views as me. Not a big Guinness fan and really donít think this one is that good. Oh well, Iím hoping for a beer from Guinness that is more pleasing to my palate...Guinness Blonde, which I will try soon!

Poured from nitro can into a Guinness pint glass
Appearance- The beer pours a reddish tinted cola color with tons of cream colored carbonation/nitro bubbles suspended within. The bubbles can be seen cascading up through the brew, producing that wonderful look of nitro tap brew. As the carbonation/nitro streams up through the brew, it produces a wonderfully thick and creamy looking cream colored head that has a fantastic level of retention. The head very slowly fades leaving a nice level of streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell Ė The aroma is rather light overall and consists of some caramel and a bit of roasted malt. Along with these smells are some notes of grain and a little bit of a cocoa and fruit smells.
Taste Ė The taste begins with a creamy roasted malt flavor and a bit of a light fruit sweetness. As the flavor moves on the sweetness initially fades with some more toasted malt flavors coming to the tongue. Flavors of toast and a bit of coffee come to the tongue more toward the end, combining with a very light resurgence of sweetness to produce and overall dry and lightly roasted flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel Ė The body of the beer is on the creamier side with a carbonation/nitro level that is slightly lower. Both are what would be expected for a nitro driven brew and make for a nice creamy and smooth feel.
Overall Ė A decent stout, but doesnít live up to the original. Itís a bit sweeter and a bit less roasted. Still it is rather nice, none the less, and very easy drinking.

"I didnít read the can and donít get the point of this beer. As I am less a fan of the original Guinness, draft, etc... And this seems like a slightly lighter in color and roast version of the regular beer. Nice malt backbone, smooth but watery, like a nitro amber stout hybrid. Once will be enough for me."

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Not a stout. Don't believe the label, it is an Irish Red Ale and a particularly bland one. Not happy with this at all.

Pours black with a ruby tint and a creamy tan head. Nice roasted malt and sweet caramel malt aroma. Flavor is roasted malt and chocolate with caramelized sugars. Finish is smooth with a slight citrus bite. Silky smooth mouthfeel.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a nice dark amber color with white head. Roasted malts on the nose with just a bit of caramel on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes very roasty. Not bad.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Can @Hard Rock Hotel: a slightly better selection at the complementary bar. Very light body, watery mouthfeel, thin taste. Food Pairing: Cheese Plate.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can, nitro. Pours a very clear dark reddish brown color with a moderate light tan head on it. Nose has a lot of grains and a slight bit of bread to it, but I donít get much roasting to it. Taste is slightly dry up front, then descends into a moderately sweet finish. Feels super creamy and smooth from the nitro, though just a tad thin. Decent.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Can, deep red nitro pour. Settles with thick nitro head and ruby hued beer. Aroma is watery malts and the flavor is pretty much the same. Not a whole lot going on here. Really bland.
