had this while I was over in england. It has the same color as killian’s that deep reddish brow color. the cool part is that the head is think like regular guinness. the aroma is toasty the flavor is quite bitter but smokey and very cold over all a nice beer.

Looks beautiful. I expected it to taste like a slightly roasty bitter but it’s not. The subtle sweetness of Guinness extra stout amplified and the roasted malt and bitterness all but eradicated.
Guinness for those who don’t like Guinness.

Yeah well boo sucks to you all, as a quaffable pint to drink over and over, it really works. I think it has established itself as my new drink of choice, besides it beats most of the other crap they have at most pubs.
Not as nice as guinness but easier to drink, the point i think, though.

On tap at O’Neill’s, London. Red brown hue. Creamy with Guinness nose. More roasted and malty than the standard variety. Nuts, toffee in the taste with sweet texture. Don’t like it as much as Guinness at all - much too polished and bland.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2008 Tastes just like Guinness really but not quite as good, still has the guinness bitterness and is quite nice and an interesting alternative.

First of all, this isn’t as red as it looks in the promo pictures - if you hold it up to the light alongside a normal pint of Draught Guinness (which we did), you will see a difference, but otherwise it looks brown. The body is definitely a lot thinner, and the whole thing is more soupy and frankly a bit of a mess. There’s no aroma, there’s very little flavour. This really is swill. By the way, its a stout, not a bitter. Just a very odd stout.
