3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 SeanMacGC (330) - Dublin, - JAN 29, 2009
Draught, pours with the customary solid white head, and with a translucent copper body. Still the dark roasted malt and hops, and decent enough on tbe palate, although it won’t escape the accusations of being a Guinness Lite. Not as bad as I had feared, but not nearly as good as the illustrious ’brother’.

Brown/red colored pour. Big white head. Of course it was nitro’d. A slight roasty aroma. Not much taste. Like a diluted real beer. Won’t be pursuing this one again.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2012 On tap in Liverpool. Nice red colour with minimum head. VERY waterish and hardly any aroma. Tast like very thin coffee.

Keg draught, The Dry Dock, Leicester. Watered down Guinness. Appearance is just like regular Guinness although slightly lighter, with more red hue showing through. Watery bitterness. Okay, but I’d prefer a regular Guinness.

Draught at the Dry Dock, Leicester. Pffff. A bit like Guinness. But weaker. Err. Drinkable in an ITV sort of way. Ag ag.

draft: differs from Guinness Draught in that the barley used is lightly roasted, basically a more watery version of Guinness Draught, rather bland really, some caramel & malt but almost like someone actually diluted it with water, I only agree because I don’t like regular Guinness, so less flavour is not that terrible to me but this is pointless really, if you don’t like Guinness but you feel the strange obligation to drink it, you want to try this but that is just weird

Nitro draft at a pub in London. Clear brownish red pour, creamy off-white head. Caramel malt, light sweetness, and a bit of herbal hops. Another boring selection, but still quite drinkable. Creamy nitro body.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 tommann (1451) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - NOV 17, 2010
Nitro keg at the Rose & Crown, Old Hill. Pours deep red brown with Guinness head. Aroma is just not there, some vary faint, watery malt. Nowt to start, some roasted malt to finish. Bland. Watery crap all round.

Draught O’Neills Northampton. A nitroed dark ruby coloured beer with a whitish head and thick lacing. A malty fruity clean and pretty tasteless beer brewed for those who know no better. Nothing to harm but boring.

nitro tap at Niall’s in Stirling, Scotland - Pours ruby red with a hugely bubbly body. There’s a minimal caramel malt aroma. The flavor is of caramel malt and mild hops. It’s kind of bland. While it’s not a bad beer per se, I really don’t see the point.

Unimpressive. No idea why anyone would drink this over ordinary Guinness, especially in a place where you can get the real thing (not the Budweiser version). It’s watery and nearly tasteless.
