Has a roasted malty chocolate finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste. delnoche (210), Germany Oct 31, 2009 33cl bottle poured into a pint glass. Black with ample lasting creamy tan head. Aroma is roasted sweet malt, notes of chocolate, coffee. Flavor is strong roasted malt, bittersweet. Creamy texture. Lasting bitter finish. Good beer. kappldav123 (1789), Markkleeberg, Germany Oct 26, 2009 The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass better. Black as the night, creamy brown head, lasting. Starts strong and malty, also quite dry, more and more woody, notes of liqourice, also a bit smoky. Finish a bit unbalanced. Looks better than it tastes. bluevegie (2169), Perth, Australia Oct 22, 2009 Black body with good size tan head. Some smooth milky coffee in the aroma with some soft dried fruit late. Taste is lovely but I am partial to dark beers, chocolate a little liquorice and dark fruits again. austone (998), Turku; Pori, Finland Oct 21, 2009 Bottle @ Mallaskukko. Pitch black, fluffy tanned head with tight lacing. Nose has lots of raisins, metal, hint of tar, not really too pleasant. Flavor is raisins, loads of molasses, tar, burned malts, hint of smoke, salmiak and coal. Almost full bodied, strong and spritzy carbonation, a tad oily palate. Like Guinness concentrate, really burned and unbalanced. mcdav2154 (289), Germany Oct 17, 2009 Black with reddish tints. Cream colored head that leaves great lacing. Smell and taste are smokey with some dark fruits and caramel. I like this better than the american version of guinness. Thank you luxembourg city! sfhodense (554), Odense NØ, Denmark Oct 4, 2009 Pours dark brown with a large beige head. Aroma is roasted barley, smoke and coffee.
