2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
33 cl bottle @ home. Pours a dark brown, almost black beer and brown head. Strong aroma, roasted malt, chocolate, brown sugar, coffee, mokka and some dark fruits. Taste starts off sweet, followed by bitterness and some sourness. Palate is too lively, should be more creamy.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle. Pours black with generous off-white head. Taste is rich and smooth with a nice sweetness ahead of bitter roasted malts. Hardly recognisable as Guinness, beefed up with flavour and infinitely more drinkable. This is Guinness brewed to itís full potential.

Very dark, almost completely black. Nice thick head and it also gives nice lacing. Aroma is fresh and light. Taste is quite bitter but chocolate. Also roast and maybe a bit burned. Not bad, have a few so going to enjoy some more.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours dark brown. Tan head.
Smells of caramel, moka, chocolate, iodine, meat sauce, soy sauce, tobacco...
Creamy and full-bodied. Powerful, with a long bitter finish that brings back coffee and soy taste.
Rich and complex.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Keg at Delirium. It pours jet black with a decent tan head. The nose is rich roast, molasses, liquorice, earthy, maltesers and chocolate. The taste is rich roast, bitter-sweet, molasses, earthy, chocolate malt, maltesers, toasty, light alcohol, chocolate ice-cream and liquorice with a small tan head. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Nice bitter-sweet balance to it. A solid beverage for sure.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Beer dark as night in a creamy liquid. The cream is light caramel, huge, foamy, stable with fine bubbles that emerge forming a beautiful thin foam. Formed ties on the walls of glass along the tasting.
The Aroma initially shows weak but with good grades of roasted malts and will slowly growing with soft notes of coffee, dark chocolate, raisins, dark cherries, prunes, and a light acidity an unpleasant little.
Taste brings a fruity sweetness of raisins, plums, lots of coffee, slightly bitter chocolate and tar noticeable generating a barely perceptible bitterness, but ending the sip an average bitterness. The finish is slightly alcoholic, but good insertion in the set and the hops are practically imperceptible.
The Aftertaste is faintly smoked. Again it is perceived alcohol that brings a certain dryness, but nothing that brings imbalance to the set.
Medium Body Full, oily and creamy texture and an average constant carbonation.
Good and Interesting Porter. Clearly the best Guinness variant Iíve ever tasted. Very tasty and good to drink. Excellent drinkability.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
0,33 l bottle from EDEKA Mohr, bottled on 11/12/2014. Clear, very dark red to black with a huge, foamy, stable, tan head. Great aroma of raisins, prunes, coffee, dark chocolate and toffee, a bit of tar as well. Wow! Different aromas come to the front every time you smell it. Sweetish taste of raisins, prunes, dark cherries, lots of coffee, dark chocolate and hints of tar. Short, slightly bitter and minimally sourish, gently alcoholic finish. Medium to full body, oily and creamy texture, flat carbonation. What a gem! Very complex, so many different and strong flavours, a satisfying finish, but also very well balanced. Moreish!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Has the traditional tar and roast coffee from the guinness malt but with the extra alcohol comes more sweetness to make this something closer to an imperial stout. From a bottle itís unfortunately impossible to get a pour that matches a good pub though.
