Beer dark as night in a creamy liquid. The cream is light caramel, huge, foamy, stable with fine bubbles that emerge forming a beautiful thin foam. Formed ties on the walls of glass along the tasting. The Aroma initially shows weak but with good grades of roasted malts and will slowly growing with soft notes of coffee, dark chocolate, raisins, dark cherries, prunes, and a light acidity an unpleasant little. Taste brings a fruity sweetness of raisins, plums, lots of coffee, slightly bitter chocolate and tar noticeable generating a barely perceptible bitterness, but ending the sip an average bitterness. The finish is slightly alcoholic, but good insertion in the set and the hops are practically imperceptible. The Aftertaste is faintly smoked. Again it is perceived alcohol that brings a certain dryness, but nothing that brings imbalance to the set. Medium Body Full, oily and creamy texture and an average constant carbonation. Good and Interesting Porter. Clearly the best Guinness variant I’ve ever tasted. Very tasty and good to drink. Excellent drinkability. Recommend!

0,33 l bottle from EDEKA Mohr, bottled on 11/12/2014. Clear, very dark red to black with a huge, foamy, stable, tan head. Great aroma of raisins, prunes, coffee, dark chocolate and toffee, a bit of tar as well. Wow! Different aromas come to the front every time you smell it. Sweetish taste of raisins, prunes, dark cherries, lots of coffee, dark chocolate and hints of tar. Short, slightly bitter and minimally sourish, gently alcoholic finish. Medium to full body, oily and creamy texture, flat carbonation. What a gem! Very complex, so many different and strong flavours, a satisfying finish, but also very well balanced. Moreish!

Has the traditional tar and roast coffee from the guinness malt but with the extra alcohol comes more sweetness to make this something closer to an imperial stout. From a bottle it’s unfortunately impossible to get a pour that matches a good pub though.

Dark brown colour with almost no, but still firm head. smell od roasted malts, some coffee hints. The bitterness is little present in aftertaste. Different from their a draught stout.

33cl bottle. Black stout with lovely brown, firm head. A beautiful beer, with a great scent. Some vanilla, even coconut, and of course the coffee hints. The bitterness tops the ending. Different from a draught stout, but definitely as nice! Great to drink ice cold.

33 cl, flaske, 8.0 % ABV, BB 18/06/16, købt i African House i Abel Cathrinesgade 3 på Vesterbro i København, 23. marts 2015.Sort olie-Porter, omend tyndere konsistens, under ophældning.

Nice. Måske lige en anelse for sød/tyk for min smag. Skyldes nok det er Belgian version!
