Bottle courtesy of yalnikim (in NZ), pours black with a think beige head. The aroma is full of licorice and alchohol. Lots of licorice in the mouth again, now with a citrus tang. A good medium mouthfeel, though maybe a touch syrupy in the finish.

Bottle courtesy of Phil_L and beermerchants.com. Cheers mate! I’ve always loved the guiness foreign extra stout, used to drink it as a child. First time I’ve had the Belgian version though. Pours a very dark brown with a creamy looking head than the biscuit brown I’m used to. Still smells beautiful and knocks the normal Guinness into a cocked hat. Very nice, love it.

33cl bottle. Pours dark, dark brown out of the bottle and settles in as black in the glass with a huge rocky tan head that lasted for ages and left great lacing. The aroma is a little better than draught with a slightly more evident chocolate malt backbone but with the bitterness I expected. The taste, however, was much more complex than i expected. It has the roasted malt backbone but with milk chocolate sweetness balanced with some coffee bitterness in the finish. Very, very nice flavor. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with good carbonation with the patented Guinness creaminess. This is a revelation compared to standard Guinness and I’m lucky I got the chance to try this one.

Pitch black, black tiny head, strong aroma of hard burned malt with lots of liqourice and dark chocolate. some spices developes in mouth. Flavour is mainly sweet with some dryness and bitternes in finish. Why dont they serve this in Ireland????

Courtesy of tpd975 and fishingnet. Thanks guys. Pours dark brown to garnet with thin mocha head. The aroma is bold dark fruity esters of sweet black grapes, plums, ripe cherries along with mild roasty to burnt malts. Very fruity aroma and distant from the standard non draft version of this beer. Smells yum. The taste mirrors the aroma with big dark grapes notes, plums, prunes and raisins. Wow, very different Guinness brew.

I was also doubting about the dark beers that look like a coke, however this one really made my day. Creamy body and great brown foam, taste is a great combination, coffe and chocolate plus the roasted malt, wow the result is excellent.

33 cl bottle, bought in Oostende - shared with Roger. Dark brown, almost black, color. Lovely creamy light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, dried dark fruit, coffee, chocolate. Flavor is roasted malt, dried dark fruit, fine sweetness, coffee, chocolate. Very fine aftertaste of roasted malt and hops - ending with a dry mouthfeel. Nice, but maybe a bit watery...
