Bottle @ Delirium Cafe. Pours a deep, dark brown with a rocky, tan head. Dry aroma of roasted malts and coffee. Interesting body, much different than the NA bottled version; much more substantial, more roasted. Great dry, mocha finsih. Waited 8 years for this one, and it was worth it.

Aroma: Not really strong, licorice, dark fruit, roasted malts, chocolate, slight coffee. Appearance: Pitch black beer with a good lasting cream coloured head. Taste/Palate: Fresh, sweet and bitter. Everything stated in the aroma.

Bottle at home. Drank it quite warm. A sweeter version of one of my favorite all-timers. Itís dark chocolate color, not as black, and more sugary. Some of the wheat/bread flavor is less pronounced. Lovely bitter finish. Highly drinkable and most enjoyable. Only criticism would be that itís perhaps too smooth, too easy.

FTA. 33cl. There is nothing special about it. If you really miss the UK stout, and are stuck on the island - get this. Like 10 years ago there were nothing similar available in Estonia for example. Now there are 100s of alternative stouts. And If I want dry stout, I will get myself something else.

Black malt and butter aroma. Taste of dark roasted coffee and a little caramel. Heavy bitterness that fills the mouth for a long time. Okay but slightly bitter. Follow me @ Kung av Ųl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Konsumowane w Delirium Cafe w Brukseli z polecenia barmana. Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzysta, piana średnia. Nasycenie średnie. Aromat śliwek i rodzynek. W smaku śliwki i rodzynki, ale jakby w tle, nie biora gůry nad wytrawnym smakiem piwa. Rewelacja jak dla mnie.

Black beer, medium tan head with lots of spotty lacing. Nose is sweet, like stale coffee with condensed milk plus roasty notes. Flavor is thick, almost chewy with sweet dried fruits, roast, coffee and bread. Some booze in the malty-roasty-bready finish along with fruity notes and some sourness. Interesting, does feel like a belgian taken on a Guinness.

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2015 Bottle from beerexpress in Tallinn. BB 27.08.16. Pours dark, probably near black, with a light beige head with excellent retention and rather thick lacing. The nose strikes at first as strangely nostalgic, like kama with kefir - not necessarily something I have fond memories of... Itís also very roasty, sourish, bready, thereís molasses, coffee and cocoa. Tastes really sweet initially - even sugary, but not too much, with a lot of roastiness and finishing bitterness. Kind of robust. No carbonation to talk about... or... thatís funny, as Iím almost halfway through, the carbonation has become very noticeable and even crisp - go figure. Thereís a somewhat irritatingly fizzy finishing mouthfeel. The hop (extract!) bitterness in the finish, together with the roastiness, make for a curious and somewhat unusual mix. Rather thin texture. Overall Iíd say this is a very interesting, kind of schizophrenic brew - I had it for the first time but I can see myself growing to like it. Nice!

Dark black with a thick creamy foam ,good retention. Leaves a thick and creamy mouth feel. Malt, bready, coffee, hazelnut, and dark sugar. English type stout not to be confused by the classic Guinness.

It is a typical stout or we could say maybe a kind of porter. The taste is like a sweet coffee and caramel but there is a side bitter. It is a tasty beer even the fact that guinness is a multinational. The quality is average or more, hundred times better than a heineken.
