Very dark brown pour, one finger off white head, Chocolatey, roastiness, bitterness. Nice drinking brew

Jul 3, 2008 Bottle in a trade. Pours a black tan coffee head. Very different from the original. Sweet malt and chocolate, some irish whiskey like flavor. Creamy foamy body. Sweet thin chocolate malt boozy upfront with a nice warming. Sweet malty, roasty chocolate coffee. A certain after dinner drink.

Jul 2, 2008 Bottle, thanks after4ever! Pours blackish brown with walls of tan lace. Medium body, light carbonation. Lots of coffee and chocolate in the taste and aroma.

Jun 25, 2008 Jet black with a beige rocky head. Strong roasted aroma. Bitter coffee flavour, fruity and dry, with a mildly unpleasant light tartness. I expected a lot from this beer, and although its a pretty decent stout, I am a little disappointed.

Jun 25, 2008 330cl bottle. Dated 12.07.09. A creamy lactose sweetness initially dominates the aroma. Dry bakers chocolate and sweeter malted milk balls. Cinnamon and nutmeg with a decent dose of wed cardboard. Watered down coffee and lightly charred malt. Pours a near opaque black with a good sized thick and creamy khaki head. Dry chocolate malt at first on the palate followed by a good dose of lactose. Toasted, but not quite charred malt. Thicker cold press. A good dose of slightly funky yeast as well. Medium bodied with a sweeter lacto finish. Odd, but thanks for the rare treat Dan!

Jun 23, 2008 Bottled. Aroma has coffee, roast, malts. Black coloured with a medium, beige head. Taste is sweet with a lingering coffee bitterness. taste has roast, malts, coffee and a hint of butter.
