2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 mjs (3000) - Helsinki, - JAN 28, 2012
(Bottle, 0.33 l - 10.5 % according to the label, at Kaisla, 20120128) The beer poured copper coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, Belgian style yeast, honey and malts. Palate was medium bodied, warming and dryish with quite high carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, Belgian style yeast, malts, fruitiness and bitterness. Aftertaste was boozy, sweet and bitter. Too boozy and sweet to be really good. Aroma was ok.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Borresteijn (2759) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 2, 2012
33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Clear amber colour, white slightly rocky head. Aroma of alcohol, ripe fruits, lots of esters, marzipan. Flavour is sweet, light sour alcoholic, fruity, light malty, bit of caramel, hint of marzipan, light bitter finish, a bit hot. Medium bodied, overcarbonated, making this not an easy drink. Nice enough though.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 drowland (3901) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 28, 2012
5/28/12. 330mL bottle. Light reddish pour with a big tan head that sticks around forever and laces a bit. Fruity aroma with yeast and plenty of brewing sugar... reminds of bubblegum. Sweet flavor with caramel malts, sugar, bubblegum, fruits, and a touch of banana. Not bad, but definitely better quads. A bit sweet and thick (yes, I realize the style).

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 rondphoto (619) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - MAY 27, 2012
Hazy medium golden amber with a generous white head and swirls of lace. Taste reveals sweet caramel malt with a touch of bitters in the finish. Sounds simple, but it isn’t. The brew takes the sweet malt into a nice warm alcohol middle, moving to a comfortable fade to nothing (in the best sense of that word!) at the end. Superb brew, worth savoring.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 HomeBrewHawk (441) - De Soto, Kansas, USA - MAY 27, 2012
11.2oz. bottle served in a tulip. Lots of carbonation. Poured a deep gold with a huge white head. Some Belgian yeast spice and a little alcohol in the nose. Bottle conditioned. Not as boozy as the nose would suggest. Fair amount of malt sweetness with more Belgian spice in the finish. Way too easy drinking for the ABV! You could get in trouble with this.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 GBZ59 (314) - BARCELONA (Catalonia), SPAIN - MAY 26, 2012
Botella de 330ml. Copa Cáliz de Chimay. Saboreada en may´12. Color ámbar con tintes anaranjados a contraluz. Apariencia velada.
330ml bottle. Chimay Chalice glass. Enjoyed on may´12. Amber color, orangish hues to the light.Hazy appearance. Close, off-white, slowly fading crown. Intense sugar, figs & spices to the nose. Gentle sugary upfront then increasing alcohol lingers into the end. Slightly peppery in the middle, just an illusion, fluid molasses all around –no cloying even though-. Full body, moderate carbonation. Pleasant drinkability. I love Quad style!
4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 blackflag321 (90) - Lansing, Michigan, USA - MAY 26, 2012
4.5 Bottle pour into tulip glass. Nice caramel color with a tall head that was very persistent (next time I drink this I will not use a tulip glass). Very nice complex palate. No high ABV kick; nice, smooth finish.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Daytonbeer (253) - Ohio, USA - MAY 25, 2012
Pours golden brown with white head. Moderate lacing. Lacks the complexity that I would expect from a quad, but it is still good. Belgium yeast aroma, Taste includes brown sugar, carmel, toffee, raisin, and cough syrup.
