3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Corked & Caged 750 ml Bottle. Appearance is a hazy, bronzed amber color with an inch of beige foam and thick lacing around the glass. Mostly candi sugars, pears and raisins in the aroma with a touch of malt and yeast around the edges. The flavor has a good deal of Belgian yeast, caramel malt and tropical fruit notes upfront followed by dried dark fruits, brown sugar, banana and honey. Also an oaky alcohol presence throughout. Mouthfeel is full-bodied and creamy with strong carbonation and a slightly tart, sweet finish. Overall, an enjoyable Tripel/Quad hybrid.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a hazy golden copper color with a thick off white head that left plenty of lacing around the glass. The aroma is of dark fruits, prunes, dates, alcohol, and candy sugar. The taste is more of the same. The alcohol is more noticeable in the aroma than the flavor.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl bottle, served in Trappist chalice. Poured a cloudy amber with a one finger ivory head. Aromas of caramel, vanilla, chestnuts, strawberries, cherries. Taste is also caramel, vanilla, banana, strawberries, alcohol. A medium to full body with a very dry, vinous bittersweet finish. Overall a pretty good quad but I like its older brother the tripel Gulden Draak better...

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a dark orange color with big long lasting white head. Hazy appearance. Smell is strong, mostly sweet, combination of caramel and alcohol.
Full body, creamy texture and medium carbonation. Taste is fruity, sweet malts, caramel and herbs. High content of alcohol (10.5% ABV) is somewhat masked by the sweetness but it becomes obvious, mostly in the aftertaste. Finish is slightly bitter and a bit boozy.
Overall, excellent strong belgian ale. If you’re into this style, you’ll love it.

Pours a completely murky caramel-amber with a sticky, creamy, eggshell colored head. Eggy caramel and a little metallic on the nose. Lively and sticky mouthfeel. The eggy quality comes through in the flavor as well. Sweet toffee and caramel. A bit of alcohol is detected.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
