| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 14, 2009 Bottle as shown. Pours a very dark cloudy amber with a large light tan head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is a sweet fruit malt with a strong alcohol. Good sticky lacing along the glass. Thick mouthfeel with a sour malt taste hiding the alcohol well. A very good quad from Brouwerij. NDbeerdrinker (164), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | May 7, 2009 Pours dark brown with a billowy off white head. Aroma is sweet, slight hops, alcohol, and some dark fruit. Taste is bready, spicy and ends sweeter with alcohol. There is a tart cherry present as well. Palate is thick and this is a meal of a beer. This was a good one. CanIHave4Beers (862), Des Moines, Iowa, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 6, 2009 Pours a deep murky reddish brown with a good thick head. The aroma is chocolate and cherry with some red wine and mild alcohol notes, the whole bouquet is a little muted for as big a beer as this is. The flavor is tasty tart and spicy up front with some fig and cherry and a bit of candy sweetness. There is way too much alcohol present, but this is one tasty beer none the less. radagast83 (1288), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
