Commercial Description:
Gulden Draak is a dark brown Triple Ale, which makes it an exception among the Belgian Triples. The second fermentation offers the nice creamy head, the full body and all the vitamins of the centuries old brewers yeast. It is a "thick" beer, that you can actually "eat" to adventure the complex taste. Gulden Draak balances a natural malt toffee-like sweetness with a mellow happiness and some hoppy accents. The aroma is round, sweet and reveals the 10.5 alcohol by volume.

A clear very dark amber colored beer, with a nice off white foamed head. An aroma of coriander, malt and a little bitterness. the taste is warming, some sweet of fruits and malts. It’s not to dry and it has a nice bitterness. It stays for a long time.

nice dark color with a weak head. Nothing much in aroma besides sweet. Taste alcohol and toffee.

11.2oz bottle of awesomeness. Pours a mahogany brown with a very light tan head thats puffy and billowing. Nose is thick with caramel and fruits, a bit of hops on the nose which I guess is due to this being a triple by start. Taste is very very good, starts out light like a triple but alot of malt and caramel come through in the finish with a touch of hops and a suprisingly small amount of alcohol considering the ABV. A terrific BSA but a little on the pricey side. Tap: Tap at Redlight Redlight. Possibly one of the coolest tap handles I’ve ever seen. A huge Golden dragon. Much better on tap that from the bottle. But overall rating is about the same, maybe a 4.4 at best.

On draft at JeanRo Bistro.
Pours a dark brown with ruby highlights. Smell is dark fruits, some sweetness and belgian yeast.
Taste is much the same, and it’s very good. Very creamy, full on the mouthfeel. This stuff is fantastic. This is dangerously drinkable, you never notice the ABV. This is among my favorite Belgian’s, right behind Pannepot and Rochefort 10. Delish!

Wow this one is great. I shared this one with one of my best friends and it is really amazing. Strong as hell!! Nice and dark with a yummy head. Aromas of dried fruit, caramel, toffee, yeast, bread...MMMMM! Flavors are robust and sweet and malty. YES SIR!!!

dear lord, what a beer! dark, cloudy, and brooding, with a fluffy tan head. the aroma is enough to make me wish my wife wore it as cologne...dark fruit, dried fruit, caramel, dough and an alcoholic warmth on the nose. taste-wise, this is so layered it’s ridiculous. more caramel maltiness, tons of dark fruit, candi sugar, a chewy doughiness, loads of spiciness...finish is caramel, fruit, and a little bitterness. glorious! (the bottles make great candleholders for your bar, too!)

Had on tap. Very interesting beer! It is dark in color and pours with a full head. Definitely can taste hops and some "sweetness". A little alcohol aftetaste, but will drink again.
