| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 14, 2008 330 ml bottle. Pours dark, hazy amber. Pretty frothy, creamy head depending on how you pour. Aroma is sweet with strawberries, bananas and alcohol. Body follows suit with some spice, syrup and sugar. This is much better as it warms to room temperature, but the alcohol is ever-present no matter what the temperature is. For the price I will find much more enjoyable belgians. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 7, 2008 Pours cloudy light brown with a small head of smaller bubbles. Aroma is sweet dried fruit. yeast and a bit of alcohol. Mouth feel is surprisingly thick for a triple. The flavor is where this ale shines. Multiple fruit flavors dance around the tongue with raisin, apricot and maybe a touch of banana. Rich, sweet bread flavors follow. The alcohol is almost completely hidden besides the nice burn going down your throat. A really great ale. RomanW70 (297), Providence, Rhode Island, USA
