3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Carrefour near Bruges. Appears deep red, nearly black. Has a big white, fast vanishing head.
Aromas of malt, caramel, spices and alcohol.
Intensive taste of malt, sugar and lots of alcohol, ending with a bitter alcoholic finish, which warms up the belly. Perfect beer for a cold winter night, spices add a decent complexity. I recommend todrink this nearly at room temperature, lots of tastes get noticable while the beer warms up, taste becomes more balanced. Carbonation supports the taste very well, helps tonot make this too heavy.

Brown with ruby highlights, slight haze, fluffy beige head. Aroma of pilsner malt, burnt sugar, plums and raisins, an earthy fungal note. Flavor: burnt sugar, bready malt, molasses, dark fruit, some peppery phenols, cola. Warming alcohol but not hot. Great example of a Belgian dark strong.

From a bottle in a tulip glass. Pours a really nice foam with long retention, the color of this beer is beautiful dark red. Smell of cherries and fruits. Taste some cherry, raisins, yeast, banana, malty and rich with alcohol warmth. Nice carbonation and mouth feel. Very enjoyable to drink. First time I had this on a tap about two years ago, canít say that I remember so much of that experience.

Flavour is syrupy sweetness, dried fruit. Alcohol is rather noticeable, donít say this dragon didnít warn you. Carbonation is rather lively. Classy brew, excellent sipper.
