Gulden Draak is a high fermentation beer with secondary fermentation. For the secondary fermentation, wine yeast is used. The white bottle, the black banner, the golden dragon and the red letters, constitute a stylish result that has no equal among the many Belgian special beers. Gulden Draak can be drunk as an aperitif or dessert, or whenever you have the time to sit back and relax. But this barley wine is also perfect with and in stews, especially the Ghent variety. It is also a plus in sauces for red meat, such as a bordelaise. It is particularly suited as a dessert beer, especially in combination with dark chocolate.

Láhev 330 ml. Aroma je výrazné, má třešňový nádech a silný alkoholový podklad. Pěna je zlato - bílá, jemná, vysoká a držící. Barva samotného piva je vínová a kalná. Chuť je velmi mohutná a robustní, má nádech třešní obalených štiplavým alkoholem, finiš je těžší, alkoholový a držící. V ústech pivo působí robustně, má silný říz a je i přes svojí mohutnost dobře pitelné. Jedná se o vskutku chutné silné pivo, vhodné především ke klidnému posezení a vychutnání.

Reddish brown color, the initial head is medium and permanent to end. Good body, creamy, medium carbonation. Roasted caramel, dried fruit, more prominent plum, malt. The aftertaste and medium, but too sweet.

Donker en sterk van smaak. Doet een beetje aan van die droog-zoete drop denken die verkruimeld. Zeker niet te zoet. Gedronken met Chris bij een film, The Game. Grote witte fles.

Aroma is sweet caramel malt. A bit too carbonated for drinking, so the brew needs to be sipped. Flavor is sweet caramel and has a bit of an alcohol burn. Would be pretty much perfect if I was just grading on flavor, but the heavy carbonation is a huge downer.

Very intense dark amber red with a creamy foam head tastes very sweet and actually sadly like a pretzel but with also fruit notes like apricot or peaches but very strong alcohol rate on the palate there’s also notes of leather but very slight this is a superb ale.
