COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle.
Brewed under licence since 1970.
Ingredients: Water, Malt, Hops.
**Nigerian beers by law are made with a portion of sorghum. A grant has been made to aid in the growing of sorghum which the brewer will buy as it lowers the proportion of malt in its product. This is the difference in formulation between Gulder Lager (Nigeria) and Gulder Lager (Ghana).**

Bottle: 600ml (£2.29 from Costcutter, Lambeth, London):
Lager malts & a touch of sweetness along with some corn, bread and a lot of adjuncts filling in the rest. There are a few faint, grassy hops and a touch of skunk as well.
Clear golden with a few bubbles rising to the surface and a very thin, bubbly white lacing for a head.
Lager malts and corn with some faint hops and a slight touch of citrus. There is a bland taste overall and a slightly skunky finish.
Light, smooth with a slight citrus tang and strong carbonation. The beer is a little thin but not totally watered down.

Poor pale lager with a rather bland and uninspiring taste without coming across as bad or offensive. Not a bad taste just an incredibly bland one that is reminiscent of drinking flavoured water.

Pours clear golden. Aroma is slightly sour malts. Flavor is along the same lines. A bit too much carbonation. Drinkable but not particularly enjoyable.

600 mil bottle bought from mini-market in Chelmsford, Essex. A not great pale lager which doesn’t stand out in any way from most other pale lagers. Fizzy, pale gold/yellow, little aroma/taste.

Bottle. Golden, small and fully diminishing head. Light, malty and sweetish aroma, light bread. Body is light to medium, malty and sweetish flavor, light bread. Finish is short. Malty and lightly sweetish with light bread and light sharp metal, light alcohol. Malty and sweetish lager – no hoppyness.

typically bad example of pale lager. very little to write about other than the pathetically watery mouthfeel!

Ljus gyllene i färgen, litet vitt skum. Söt malt fruktig citruston, aningen alkohol. Smakar söt malt, fruktig ton, alkohol. Trist

Big bottle from Tesco. Pale gold with a wisp of head. Straw, beeswax, lemon throatsweet aroma. Soft and slight with some unsettling licked envelope, disinfectant and flying saucer notes but nothing that renders it remotely undrinkable. Disappointing. And better than I expected when I saw sorghum and sucrose on the label.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Expected a very easy and watery lager and got some which still has at least a bit malt to offer. Enjoyed it surprisingly well as it is maybe a bit tasteless but very refreshing.
