Clear medium to dark brown - red amber colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity, caramel, dried fruit, alcohol, light chocolate, light raisin, light burnt brown sugar. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, burnt caramel - brown sugar, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.

Smells sweet, almost honey sweet with some alcohol and fruit notes. Taste has more alcohol and a little cane water sense. It almost tastes like a Belgian Strong rather than a barley wine. Some floral hops as well. A bottle my sis-in-law brought from Cervelar in B. Aires.

Bottled at Monks Café, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear reddish amber colour with a small bubbly white head. Dense malty sweet aroma of candied oranges, fudge, dried figs, raisins, alcohol and pepper. Full-bodied with notes of raisins, over-riped oranges, butter, pepper and alcohol. Long warming finish of candied apricots, cookies, alcohol, nuts and white pepper. Felt quite rustic and rough but still quite charming.

Ótima surpresa! Cerveja artesanal da Patagônia. Cor de mogno e espuma bege volumosa no início, mas de curta duração. Aroma fantástico: bem lupulado floral e herbal, mas de certa complexidade. Levemente salgada e amarga. Encorpada. O sabor acompanha o aroma. Conjunto ímpar. Os 10% de teor alcoólico são sentidos; porém, dão uma potência muito agradável e interessante a essa breja. Os elementos todos estão em harmonia. É muito bom abrir uma garrafa sem saber o que virá pela frente, e deparar com uma cerveja tão especial como essa. Show!!!

Brown colored, little yellow head. Alcoholic aroma with grassy and somehow caramelly touch. Medium bodied. Flavor is more dry with some dominating glue, aftertaste has again this glue, even some ammoniac? there with obvious alcohol.

Bottled. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is alcohol and a bit malty as well as flowery hoppy. Flavour is soapyish fruity hops along with spices, earthyness and some slight alcoholic notes.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2007 Bottled. Cloudy brownish amber, creamy head. Melon-like hop aroma. Sweet and lightly minerally. Potent and full bodied. Murky flowery earthy flavours - typical for Argentinian strong ales it seems. Chalky minerally finish.

Nut brown color, small white head. Dark fruits, raisins and yeast in the nose. Full-bodied. Alcoholic, fruity, cream liquerish, raisins and some hops. Some earthy notes in the aftertaste. It is a bit too alcoholic but there is good things in this brew also.

(Bottled) Muddy amber with a small, bubbly head. Quite strongly alcoholic aroma with grainy malt. Very grainy-malty flavor with yeast (had the bottom part again). Still not the best time of day (2:25 am) to rate beers, but hey - I’ll try to survive. In either case, this was not something I’d try again very soon.
