3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Erzengel (43) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JUN 7, 2013
Tolle kastanienbraune Farbe. Leicht begier Schaum.
--> leckeres dunkles Bio-Bier!
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 zenkis (300) - Ogre, LATVIA - MAY 28, 2013
jumbo, Tilburg
bottled
pours deep clear copper redish with beige top melting from rocky to frothy foam layer. aroma of fruity candy, raisins, berries, a bit peaches; malty sour-sweet flavor, medium bitter from hopping and darker malts, on nose hops are a bit spicy, like bohemian pilseners have. Below medium body, watery and jam-like texture, long sour-bitter finish.
Drinkable amber ale, but previously was sampled more mild, not so robust, with more intense berries aroma and more mild flavor. But overall it’s not bad.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 caesar (4028) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - MAR 26, 2013
Bottled. Clear amber color, medium off-white head. Aroma of toasted malts, some caramel, cookie, wheat. Also in taste some cookie and grain, medium sweet, slight bitter. Soft sourish hint even to it. Finishes quite sticky. Typical of a European amber ale is that there’s hardly any hops used. Good thing compared to other European versions is the decent malt base. I dont even want to compare to American Amber Ales, because that would go off the charts (on the wrong side).
