Château Neubourg has a noble bitterness and characterized as excellent. Lager with character, perfect for the connoisseur. And besides it is bottled in a beautiful, elegant bottle, which would fit with a fancy dinner. Ingredients: water, barley malt, hops.

Pours a clear golden with a 2 finger white head that leaves gold lacing. Aroma is wet hay and some skunky hops. Taste is very light malts with subdued hop at the finish. Very refreshing, but forgettable.

The aroma is overall pale malt and grass but it has the very distinctive paper, dust, and latex quality that so many Euro lagers have. And I don’t like it. The appearance is classic golden with a nice foamy head. The taste is like the aroma but not bad. The palate is typical. Overall nothing special but it fits the style just not my thing.

Poured from a 330 ml blue bottle. The bottle itself looks so nice, I don’t see beers in blue bottles that often. Its colour is deep golden yellow and it produces a one finger head which stays for relatively ong time. Strong smell of malts. Great, strong taste, as bitter as I like it! Medium thickness on the palate and quite carbonated.

Blue bottle. Clear, typical pilsner look. Little skunk, little grainy aroma. Flavor is a bit bitter, medium carbo. Thin body, nothing special. This is not really something to be on the lookout for.

Bottle. Light golden, small to average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate malty - grainy and lightly sweetish aroma with light bread and faint hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish, light bread and light hoppyness. Finish is short to average, malty - lightly grainy and dryish with sharp metal and light hoppyness. Pilsner? More like lager/helles with notes of sharp metal in the finish.

Bottle, very blue: Clear and golden, visible carbonation, quite stable white foamy layer, perfumed malty-papery nose; mild to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; dryish bitter-malty finish with metallic and papery traces. Not worse than many german Pilseners, so all in all pretty mediocre....
