2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Clear pale golden body with an average white head. Poor aroma. Some hops in the taste but they don’t taste all that fresh. Another Gulpener Pilsener, and both are pretty ordinary, hopefully their other beers are better, at least the bottle looked pretty cool. This one rated only slightly higher than the previous one because the hops make more of an appearance.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Honey gold, clear. Leafy hop aroma with a hint of malt. Good hop presence on the palate with a nice bitter finish. Flavourful and well balanced.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
From the cool blue bottle a mid-gold crystal clear brew with a midsized fluff snow white head that diminshes quickly. Aroma is a dusty straw with mild herbal hops and a bit of butterscotch. Medium soft smooth relatively low carb palate. Flavour is a lightly candy sweet, stale to medium acrid bitter hops becoming even more bitter at the finish. Apart from the bottle I woudl say it lacks inspiration although I probably didn’t have it cold enough.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled - Peterborough BF. A straw yellow coloured beer with a white head. The aroma is grassy and lagerish and a bit watery. The taste is creamyish with reasonable hops. Quite tasty.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
As soon as ou open the bottle there is that hopparoma...not to be missed.
For the rest it’s a well made lager beer, with clear hopp in the nose, palate and aftertaste. Well presenterd in a nice blue bottle.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: AUG 21, 2008 Bottled at home (classy blue bottle). Clear golden coloured, big lasting head, great looks! Hoppy nose, some malts, very "German". Hopbitter flavour, fruity notes. Pleasant bitter finish. Outstanding classic German pilsener from a Dutch brewery.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Skunky aroma, not really great. Clear golden coloured, not much head (disappears). Taste is okay; hoppy, bitter, bit watery. Refreshing.
