3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 DinkingDutch (10) - - JUL 14, 2006
No fizz, no fuss. As if you poured whisky and not beer. A very relaxing attitude. Almost no head. You get pure beer. It has a very refined, round taste. Fits into one’s throat very smoothly. You get a slight bitter taste afterwards, a rather plesant one, like that of Efes Pilsener.
This is a beer you would drink and enjoy like whisky and not beer. Not something you would drink more than 2 a day.
Something to drink as novelty, or with its stylish blue bottle, to impress one’s girlfriend. Otherwise, it may not justify itsef at three times the price of Heineken.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 erickok (1086) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - MAY 26, 2012
Clear golden body, firm white soapy head. Very pleasant rich aroma of classic style hops. Crisp and fresh. Smooth drinkable, quite bitter but with a solid own character. Good job for a pilsner. Very much dislike the bottle so I was prejudiced but it’s actually quite nice. Well brewed. (33cl bottle, blue..., fairly cheap)
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Jur (12) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 21, 2012
Edel Pilsener from Dutch Southern Limburg. Almost a German taste to it.
It is very clean and clear. A bit malty, but a very nice session brew.

High quality pilsener, i was really surprised by this one.
I tour a lot through many countries and have the chance to drink a lot of different beers. This one is one of the best i had in many years.
The beer is served in a deluxe blue bottle with some nice embossing, when opening the bottle a great authentic smell is flowing through your nose.
The smell is as rich as the beer tastes, full and spicy with a lot of aroma and natural refreshment. My new favorite beer....
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 SimplySike (140) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - APR 29, 2012
Blue bottle 33cl. Poors yellow with white head. Aroma malts, grass, some sweets. Taste Bittersweet. Bitter in the after taste. Good pils.
2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 16, 2012
Tall, thin blue bottle (33cl), nicely packaged beer, obtained in Holland during a resent beer buying mission.
Third beer in my 23 Oct 2010 ’Pilsner/Lager reviewing evening’. The brew had a best before date of Apr 2011 and poured into a ’Veltins’ stemmed tulip.
Score of three for a non-smelling lager/pilsner, the beer however looked fine a typical Czech Pilsner even down to the way the head lost its depth straight away.
Crisp, dry and refreshing, again just like a true Czech Pilsner.
Mr average to be honest, in almost all aspects.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 ChainGangGuy (3837) - Canton, Georgia, USA - APR 12, 2012
11.2 ounce bottle - $7.00 at Taco Mac in Canton, Georgia.
Appearance: Good heavens, is all I can grumble when the bottle is set before me. Pours out a very slightly hazed gold body with a small, hasty, white head.
Smell: Grainy-scented malts, a little sweetish in the nose with a thin hint of stale dried herbs. Rather unappealing.
Taste: Sweetish pils with a hard-hearted graininess. Modestly bitter hops giving a taste of banal dried herb. Then, a little bit of astringency catches your attention just as the sweetness kicks back into the gear in time for the less-than-crisp finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Bleh, what a complete waste of seven bucks! If only Gulpener had put half as much time and effort into the beer as they did the embossed blue bottle.
2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 vipinvelp (345) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - APR 4, 2012
Bottle. Clear bright yellow color, small but stable white foam head. Aroma of fruit. Taste is bitter, spicey and fresh. LAsting texture, a beer to remember.

Bottle @ home. Clear, pale yellow colour. Smells a bit grainy, malty and grassy. Reminds me of Japanese pilsener somehow. Tastes grainy, malty and grassy also. Good carbo, medium body.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 bhjones1 (6) - - JAN 27, 2012 does not count
Aroma a bit skunky. Nice appearance, golden (dim light so a bit of a guess) clear, white nice head. Taste malty and light bitter. Light body and mouth feel. Average carbonation. Bottle. Not worth a repeat.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 PotjeBier (525) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JAN 13, 2012
(From Notes:) On tap. Golden blond color. White head, good lace. Aroma’s of malt (sweet) and mild aromatic hops. Flavor is lightly sweet & lightly bitter. Finishes mildly bitter. Clean tasting & flavorful pilsner, one of the better ones from NL.
