3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Hunsell (400) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUL 31, 2005
Red amber coloured beer with a nice off-white head. Sweet malts and caramel dominate the nose, German character. Sweet malty taste with a sort of acidic touch. A bit thin on the palate but nonetheless pleasing beer.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 dirkbreedveld (286) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 30, 2005
Not my cup of tea this kind of beers, mostly. In between amber and lagers. Most of them are too sweet to my taste.
This one is very nosy...a lot of different smells, but did they get the balance right? Sweetish taste, soft bitters too.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 TBone (9096) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 25, 2005
Draught @Kafe Belgie, Utrecht
Nice amber brown, good tanned head. Sweetish lemony, hoppy nose. Medium-bodied, liquerish-sweetish palate. Caramelly, malty, solid.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MoritzF (7137) - Bochum, GERMANY - JUL 19, 2005
(bottle) Clear amber colour with a medium white head. Sweet malty and fruity (apricot) aroma. Sweet but lingering malty mouthfeel with a medium body. Well balanced finish of spicy hops and a note of honey. Well bound but almost heart warming ABV. Good.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Lunkie (1128) - Glen Iris, AUSTRALIA - JUL 3, 2005
Strong hop malt aroma. Clear amber red colour with fair head and lacing. Malt hop flavour. Fizzy palate.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 sayravai (4526) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 30, 2005
(Bottled) Light amber color with a smallish, fading head. Slightly alcoholic, toffee-malty and quite hoppy aroma. Toffeeish, a bit alcoholic flavor with bitter finish. Medium-bodied, slightly sugary palate with soft carbonation. Another average brew in every way.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 pivnizub (7022) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - MAR 22, 2005
Amber coloured, sweetish brew; lightly perfumed; malty notes dominate, not very hoppy at all. Quite mild; this brew seems to be much more a bottom-fermented Bock than a Dutch example of the famous Dortmunder style.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JorisPPattyn (6428) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 19, 2005
Clear foxy-amber, no carbonation; slightly amber tinted head. Flowery, cookies, lightly perfumed, grassy nose. Roasted-bitterish taste, grassy & sweet underbuild. Finishes harsh metallic. Light to medium bodied, faint slickness, burning sensation. Strange beer, like an ale made with bottom fermentation, not at all like the original Dortmunder Pilseners.
