30 cl bottle at home. Ruby/amber brown with a quickly disappearing slightly off-white head. Medium body with ditto carbonation. Caramel, red fruits and some hops. Sweet and sour with a bitter finish. Not the best bock.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Boa breja. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2014 Bottle@tasting (2000), 30 cl. Head: quick shrinking beige foam. Colour: ruby red. Aroma: almost none, glue. Taste: some bitter, sour. Palate: thin, medium CO2, light body. Overall: just for fun. *** 2014 edition *** Aroma has improved, but still not one of the best.

Smells like toffee and cranberries. Very sweety nose. Colour is quite lighter than expected for a bokcbier but is still dark rubyish and is slightly syrupy. This beer as an extraordinary persistent thin off-white head. Taste is quite sweety overall but intereting little hints of dark fruits and even liquorice.

Test vom 29.11.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,10,9,10,10,9 - 9,65

Bottle of 300 ml, at home. ABV is 6,5%. Poured into a snifter. Dark ruby colour, but lighter than other bocks I had this season. One finger of head, with average retention. Light lacing around the glass, mostly where the beer touches the glass. A thin layer of foam persists through the whole drinking process. The smell is where it gets really interesting. Sweet and sour at the same time. After that, a strong smell of boiled fruits, mostly sour cherries, and sugars, the way a fresh made jam smells. Taste is quite similar to the smell. Boiled fruits at first, but then becomes much more complex, some apple syrup, some herbs and spices, but I can’t really define what and which. Nice full body with light carbonation. I was looking for it for some time as it’s not so widely available at the supermarkets, at least around my area, and I’m really glad I found it. Probably on my top 5 of the bock beers I have tasted this season.

30 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra. Ruby brown with an off-white head. Almost port-like aroma; red fruit, oak, molasses and roasted malts. Quite bitter taste and aftertaste. Tasteful bok.
