Getting better after a few more pulls. You must discover the taste first

Dieser Herfstbock hat eine schöne, kräftige dunkle Farbe und eine mittelmäßig-gut haltende Schaumkrone. Er riecht dunkelmalzig, fruchtig und etwas alkoholisch. Der Geschmack ist süß-alkoholisch und dunkelmalzig-alkoholisch, für einen Bock ist er mir etwas zu mild. Der alkoholisch-dunkelmalzige Nachgeschmack bleibt sehr schön ein paar Minuten auf der Zunge erhalten. Fazit: Ordentlich, ein gutes Bier für Geniesser die nicht soviel Geld für etwas gutes auslegen möchten! Test vom 19.12.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,11,11,12,12,12 - 11,60

Light brown color and good foam head, slightly off white. Bit sweet, but nit too much, low carbonated. Some bitterness, but more sweet after taste in more. Some fruits.

Bottle (33 cl) from The Cracked Kettle. Clear chestnut with medium beige head. Grainy and slightly nutty malt aroma. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Semi dry, low to medium bitterness.

Bottle courtesy of Ekstedt shared @ Ekstedts bock-tasting. Pours clear chestnut brown with a white head that quickly dissipates while leaving some trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and rather subtle with caramel, bread, sweet dried dark fruits and hints of alcohol. Taste is sweet and malty with dark bread, golden syrup, raisins and hints of caramel. Mouthfeel is tiny sticky sweet and medium bodied. Finish is sweet with bread, golden syrup and sadly a weird puke-like taste.

Clear brown color, medium tan head. Sweet, malty, solvents scent, some berries and grainy notes with chocolate. Malty, grainy, metallic, cream taste. Grainy aftertaste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Alcohol notes.

(bottlle) Reddish brown colour with a small off-white head. Malty aroma with caramel and milk chocolate as well as grassy/herbal hops and a mineral touch. Taste is medium sweet and bitter. A bit sticky and alcoholic. Aftertaste not too heavy thanks to fresh hoppy notes in the finish. Not bad, but not great either - for my taste of course.

Bottle at home. Clear deep amber pour, foamy light brown head. Aroma is dry, spicy and with some red fruits and molasses. Flavor is slightly roasted, licorice, spicy and with a hint of red wine. A bit watery and thin, but a well balanced and nice flavor. Decent macro bock.

Nice spiced aroma. Slightly disappointing afterwards, dry finish with some of those nice spices. Dusty. Bottle from De Schans in Uithoorn.
