3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ElDesmadre (378) - Mikołów, POLAND - FEB 3, 2012
Bottle. Dark golden with a frothy head. Nose is reminiscent of a hefeweizen without the cloves. Lots of banana and malt but after a while some coriander, citrus and elderflower notes set in. Velvety mouthfeel as a result of an almost creamy carbonation, while the body is light. Slightly sourish, fruity, citrusy taste with coriander and some elderflower retronasal. Very nice wit, absolutely nothing to complain about.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Straling (262) - Kerkrade, NETHERLANDS - JAN 5, 2012
Bottle 30cl.
Pours a murky yellow/white colour with little head and carbonation.
Aroma is citrus and hops, not much there.
Flavour is okay, clearly a white beer, some notes of sourness there, but it’s pretty sweet.
Goes down easy.

Ljus, grumlig öl med ovanligt lite skum för att vara en vetöl. Dkumbanan i doften. Citrus och koriander i smaken tillsammans med klassiska tyska weissbiersmaker. En korsning mellan det belgiska och tyska.

This beer is not quite as good as my rating, but its associated with so many good memories sitting along the Oudegracht in Utrecht, with a lemon slice added, I can’t help myself. The "hampster beer" is the best Dutch contribution to a style dominated by Belgians.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Dorqui (1547) - Brescia, ITALY - SEP 28, 2011
Bottled in Amsterdam. Yellow clear and pale color, medium resistant head, discreet bubbly aspect. Spiced and pungent malty notes. Acidulous and much crisp taste. Little bitter tips on the end, unpleasant alcohol perception.
