A way better than expected Belgian Witbier, tried @ home. Nice soft, fresh and balanced smell and taste. Watery texture though, very thin body. But overall pretty decent witbier.

Very cloudy straw yellow beer, creamy white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of banana upon opening, coriander, wheat, pepper, dried citrus peel, slightly sweet. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: unripe banana, citrus touches, quite some spices. Aftertaste: more banana (ripe ones now), citrus and a gentle bitterness.

Perhaps the most ’german’-tasting White Beer from the Netherlands. Has got a lot to do with it’s strong banana and orange taste (it also has some slight citrus, hops and vanilla). In itself a very good fruity white beer. Pours yellow, thick and cloudy with a thin white foam. Very good white beer.

Bottle 33cl, bought in Bodegraven, Holland.
Dorée brumeuse, mousse épaisse blanche.
Arôme citronné, touche épicée, grains et fleuri, orange et citron.
En bouche, belle bière qui met en avant l’usage de différent grains dont l’épeautre qui rajoute une note sèche. Fruitée, citron avec une note fleurie de sureau et un léger profile malt.

Nice witbier. Hoegaarden is better, but this one has a pleasant taste as well. A bit watery mayhaps..

Ik vond dit altijd het lekkerste witbier, lekkerder dan bijvoorbeeld Hoegaarden en Wieckse Witte. Blind geproefd. Maar inmiddels ben ik wat jaartjes verder en zijn witbieren in het algemeen niet meer echt in trek. Echt een mooi-weer-bier. En mijn voorkeur gaat toch uit naar de weizenbieren uit Duitsland tegenwoordig.

Zitronig-gewürziger Geruch, obstige Züge. Antrunk süßlich. Alsbald wird das Bier kräftig würzig mit Noten von Baumharz und Koriander - angenehm. Im Mittel leider eine Spur zu wässrig, sodaß die Aromen leiden. So fällt denn auch der Abgang nicht mehr zu würzig aus.
