Marduk (4071) - Reval, ESTONIA - AUG 26, 2015
330ml bottle. Cloudy orange color. Small size, bubbly white head, stays as a thin film. Sweet, spicy, fruity oranges, faint cinnamon in aroma. Sweet, faint cinnamon, wheat, citrusy esters and some herbal notes in taste. Citrus and dry straw in aftertaste. Spicy echo in late aftertaste. Drinkable brew.

Hazy yellow beer, white head. Nose is wheat and banana, mild sweetness and citric notes. Flavor is a fairly balanced wit with a citric-spicy finish. Not bad, pretty solid stuff.

From draft. Nice weissbeer, but not that special. I prefer the Belgian or German weissbeer, but this in one of the better Dutch ones..

Sour witbier feels strange. New twist to the usual taste. Thin foam. Simple palate. But overall nice.

Gut!

bartlebier (2681) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - JUN 11, 2015
50cl, 2013 from notes. A dry, near-starchy cereal/multigrain fruitiness vaguely reminiscent of Tripel Karmeliet sends this supposed Wit into vague, heavier ale territories. Generic clove and coriander spiciness, herbal soap, meeting apple tarte adds yet another crossover between Hefeweizen and Wit. Tiptoeing the line between several regional recipes, interesting but lacks expression to be really refreshing: slightly dusty mouthfeel. (Wrong choice to go with/into mussels that winter eve.)
