Tap at De Klep, Venlo, 27/04/13 as ’Gulpener Biologisch Weizen’. Hazed golden/yellow with a white head. Nose is light smoke, banana, toffee. Taste comprises wheat, citrus, banoffee pie. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dryish finish. Ok Hefe.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy light orange with a normal sized, white head on top. Aroma has some green banana’s and tangerine. Flavour has a lot of lemon-ish freshness and a slight tarty tone. Drinkability is high on this one, with a fruity citrussy aftertaste. Decent, but not too impressive.

Frisch hefig-bitterer Antrunk. Im Mittelteil eher herb, Kräuternoten. Der typisch belgische Touch ist hier nicht von der Hand zu weisen, frisch, stimmig. 10/9/9/9/10/9

Home 20130217 (30 cl bottle): A cloudy, yellow beer with a thick white head, which stay long on the beer. We smell wheat and fruityness from banannes, yellow pears, appel and peach. The strong carbonated beer has a slightly seetness, but in the aftertastte some sourness and bitteerness. For the rest we observe wheat, fruit (citrus-like, banana, yellow pears and peach.

300ml bottle. Hazy golden colour with average to huge, half-way lasting, white head. Wheaty and fruity aroma has an apple note, hints of yeast and husk. Taste is minimally sweet wheat malty, fruity with a citrus note, some apple, a spicy yeasty touch. Good.

Hazy yellow with decent lasting white foam head. Aroma is not nice, muddy, bit rotten eggs. Taste is weak citrus. Short citrus aftertaste. (Velp 201301) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle as Biologisch Ur-Amber @ home. Hazy/murky yellow colour with a big head that doesn’t last. When pouring it, it sounds like a fanta. Smells banana, sweet, candy, sugar. Oh boy. Tastes banana, sweet, malts.. That’s mostly it. I don’t really like it, but i’ve had worse. Thin to medium body with a really flat carbo.

Hefig unterlegtes Bananenaroma. Prickelnd frischer Antrunk. Im Geschmack ebenfalls fruchtig (Banane, Pfirsich) und leicht nach Nelke. Bittert angenehm nach. Ordentliches Bier einer verlässlichen Brauerei!

Pours cloudy yellow, white head with small bubbles. Aroma is grain and yeast. Medium body, lively. Taste has a bit of citrus and cloves. Not much going on there.
