30cl brown bottle, Ur-Pilsner: best before Feb 2013. Poured into a Duvel glass @ home on 7th Nov 2012. Looks like all the other Pilsner/Lagers in the world: clean, clear, bright and golden, the snow white head tried to stay around. Corn, metallic notes and cardboard in the nose: luckily it has a strange undertone of flavours that helped to counteract the aromas. Within the taste I found semi-sweet maltiness and a mild hop bitterness vieing for domination with the malts winning at first, the hops coming into their own as the mouth drys. This was a lot more complexed than I first thought. Body depth was fine (for a Pilsner) and the carbonisation was good, one of the better Pilsners I’ve had for a while.

Home 20130217 (30 cl bottle) A clear golden-yellow beer with an good white head. The aroma is malty, which give a sweetnes impression. Also slight cloves. The tate is malty with some sweetnes. In the aftertaste the light sweetnes stay and a light dry-hoppy taste came up. It is a somewhat malty tated pilsener.

Bottle shared with McTapps. One of the most simple and watery pilsner of my life. Some grains in. Else is water with malt.

I drunk this beer as Gulpener Ur-pilsener. Nice bitter lager, with a bitter aftertaste. Palate dried up quite soon, and i can’t find a lot of taste in it. Ik heb dit gedronken als Gulpener Ur-pilsener. Lekker bitter pils, met een bittere nasmaak. Gehemelte droogde snel op, en ik kon er niet veel smaak in vinden.

300 ml bottle at home. Poured into a pilsner glass. Golden yellow colour, with one finger froathy head.Average activity in the glass in the form of bubbles. The head goes off rather fast, leaving light lacing around the glass. Aroma is quite malty, you can easily smell the sweetness. The taste is balanced though, thus not so sweet as someone would expect from the smell. There is some bitterness while you drink it which turns to sweetness once you swallow it. Aftertaste is definitely bitter though. On the palate leaves some dryness behind. Medium body and average carbonation too. Overall a good and honest beer, slighty better than the original Gulpener

Pours clear, pale yellow. Grainy aroma. Little head. Mouthfeel is thin, but a bit sticky on the finish. Not all that sweet. Mildly bitter aftertaste.

erickok (2282) - Tours, FRANCE - NOV 24, 2012
Clear golden body, big bubbles and foamy white head. Very similar to the normal Gulpener pilsner, a bit more grainy. Again no hops found. Taste is more grainy is well and sweeter. Definitely not as well balanced. I’ll give it an extra point for being organic, but the taste lacks behind. (30cl bottle from Eko Plaza)

Clear blond coloured beer with small white head and medium carbonation. Herby sweet aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is herby sweet bitter and dry.
