Bottled, part of a Gulpener package i won at a blind tasting at the brewery. Very dark brown colored, thick brown head. Lots of malts, rye and caramel in aroma. Sweet flavor, but not overly, lots of rye, some metallic notes, especially in finish. Even for the style this is an uninteresting brew.

Bottle 30cl. Pours a dark brown colour with a good size head. It’s an old-brown, not my taste.

Dorqui (1552) - Brescia, ITALY - SEP 27, 2011
Bottled at "De Bierproeflokaal in de Wildeman" - Amstedam.
One the best low alcohol tried. Dark brown color, medium fizzy aspect, good head of medium duration. Notes of dampen cereals, roast malty, woody final. It’s not same a low alcohol beer.

Countbeer (1943) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - AUG 5, 2011
Bottle: Light brown/off white head on top of an dark brown colored beer. Smell malts, sweets, raisin, molasses and some brown sugars. Taste is a pretty sweet with hints of brown sugars, toasted malts, darker fruits, raisin, prunes and some yeasty grains. Sweet malty aftertaste. Medium carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium body and a watery texture.

Nice dark brown color with a nice deep dark red glow coming through. Smell sweet. Very sweet taste as well, yet decent. Low carbo and body.

Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 14, 2011
Test vom 2.6.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,6,7,5,9,6 - 6,45

Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. DArk red amber colour. Moderate malty aroma. Molasse and syrup notes. Moderate sweet and light bitter flavor. Shprt finish. Watery palate. Nice dutch hvidtøl.

pivnizub (7240) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - APR 10, 2010
Bottle: Chestnut-amber coloured, small, but stable tanned layer; sweet caramel and burnt malt in the nose plus faint illusions of grassy hops in the background; moderate sweet flavour, not cloying, almost medium bodied; shorter caramelly-sweet finish with a light citrussy-hoppy aftertaste. A bit sweet, but well drinkable.....

Quack-Duck (5921) - Down South, GERMANY - MAR 21, 2010
bottle (3.5%), courtesy of Bierkoning - Many thanks! Deep brown colour, mid-sized off-white head. Malty nose. Malty and sweet with lots of caramel, shy hints of chocolate and very very shy hop flavours in the finish. A nice little beer!
