Tap@LocusDelft. First glass from a new barrel. Grassy, light herbal, light malty, orange and bit alcoholic aroma. Clear, ruby/brown color, beige fine head, good lace. Sweet, rather bitter, well hopped, malty, prune, hint of licorice. Sticky mouthfeel, medium body, lightly warming. Nice.

Cola colour, off-white head. Aroma of sweet malts and caramel. Sweet malty aroma, light bitter roasted malts. Sweet finish with roasted malt tones.
Bit too sweet for my palate. More like a bock than a Belgian Strong Ale imho.

Grima (1574) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - MAR 6, 2012
The beer in the glass is dark ruby red, with a fine creamy off-white head. It smells caramel-like, massively malty and fruity (plum). Starts moderately hoppy, with a lot of solid malt body and plum, along with caramel and a slightly alcoholic note. The middle part shows lots of plum, again with strong malt body, caramel and toffee, very spicy overall. Goes into a malty finish with a lot of plum and a little warming alcohol!

Bottle. Dark amber pour with a good white head. Some lacing on the glass. Berries and other fruits in the aroma. Berries again in the taste with alcohol hints. Some Bock hints. A bit too much alcohol hints but surely drinkable.

Leighton (4100) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2012
Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Pours clear, red-brown with a large, dense, frothy off-white head. Has a surprisingly mellow aroma. Just some hints of toasty malts and ripe fruits. Light to medium sweet flavor, some bready malts, dark, ripe and lightly tangy fruits. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Faintly warming to finish, light to medium sweet, mild alcohol, some dry fruits, a bit of light caramel. Alright, if a bit light in terms of character.

Dark amber, clear appearance. Malts dominate with a bit of nuts and caramel. Lacking the spicing so typical of the winters, but for the price, you can’t exactly be disappointed.

fles 30cl Kleur: robijnrood tot bruin. Stabiele creme schuimkraag. Geur: Niet uitgesproken sterk. Licht kruidig. Smaak: Zacht, zoet en kruidig. De nasmaak is warm en hop, wat erg lang in je mond blijft plakken. Lekker voor een koude avond

Bottle 30cl. Pours a clear red colour with a good size head and normal carbonation. Aroma is fresh and fruity, hints of roasted nuts there too. Taste is rather bland, a bit dull to say the least. Can clearly taste the yeast.

33cl Bottle @ home, bought at our local Mitra. Nice clear ruby red color, thick lightly creamy beige head leaving a fair lacing. Smell malts, some caramel, some sweetness, raisin, lightly roasty. Taste malts, some sweetness with a lightly bitter finish, raisin and caramel. Low to medium carbonation, medium body.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear, dark amber beer with a small, firm off-white head. Dried fruits on the nose, raisins and apricot, as well as some alcohol and toffee. Full-bodied, warming and with a pleasant carbonation. A bit short in the end, with flavor of dried fruits and toffee. Well, not bad, but rather boring. 110128

This is winterbeer. Tatsing it gifs you the same feeling as making the first stew of the cold season! Nice sweet round body full of flavours. Very good I wrote om my note, but i wass drunk...coffee, toast, herbs, red, brown, clear, minimal head, heavy cloying sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, thin feel, creamy, soft carbonation,
