COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & bottle conditioned; Regular.

Copper IPA 4.2%
Subtle malty tones create an overall sweetness to this superb IPA and with a double-hop blend leaving a refreshing bitter twist, Booze Hound oozes the sort of character that you’ll come back to time and time again.

Cask conditioned at The Lamb & Flag, Oxford. Reddish amber with white head. There is a smooth malty body to this, fairly fruity with a light peach note, a leafy, slightly oily hop. Decent drinking.

Cask handpull, PoW, Hinckley, 15/03/14. Pale brown ringed with with mucky white. Evocative damp woodland aroma with sesame. Creamy hazelnut, praline, sesame and dirty Cottage (the brewery) flavour. Umami. Not bad.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 8/7/2013. Deep amber with a slight, off-white head. Cereal malts, a touch of caramel and hint of tangerine, before a bitter finish. Fine.

On cask at The Vine, Wednesfield. Pours amber with an off white head. Described as a copper IPA, no real IPA feel to it just a very nice bitter. Quite a lot going on with the mix of malt and hops giving a sticky toffee feel. Good.

Cask conditioned handpump Malt Shovel Northampton 08/08/12. An amber coloured beer with an off-white head and lacing. An old fashioned brown bitter. Toast and marmalade notes. Good malts with orangey hops. A little burnt malt. Pretty tasty actually.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2012 Cask, gravity at The Red Lion, Cropredy Festival weekend, Oxfordshire on Thursday 9th August 2012 Pours Light chestnut no head, malty and fruity with a fullness in the mouth, however the flavours are hardly exciting. Some bitterness, but can’t see how the commercial description can possibly suggest this is an IPA it tastes like a boring brown bitter, in fact it is a boring brown bitter. A6 A3 T5 P3 Ov11 2.8
