bottle from the brewery. Clear brown colour, mid-sized, creamy beige head. Good malty base with some very nice dry roast flavours and a touch of bitter chocolate. Good aromatic and bitter hops finish this beer.

500ml bottle. Midenstens haltbar bis: 6.7.11. It pours a perfect color for a dunkel with a perfect head and perfect lacing. Enough said. The smell is interesting. It is far more robust than the average dunkel. It evokes thoughts of porters. It is roasty with a giant surge of cocoa and some brown sugar. There is also a nie bit of earthy hops. The flavor is also very porter-like, but with a helles lager flair, AND I LOVE IT. Normally I don’t go for the roastier dunkels but this one is spot on. It is chocolaty to the max with a slight roastiness and not too much sweetness. It is a winner.

Bottle. Clear, golden to amber coloured, smaller off-white head, trying to be persistent. Fruity and sweetish toasty- malty nose, a bit like a diluted Bock. Moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, medium bodied. Moderate to solid bitter-sweet finish. a good, robust Dunkel.............

MoritzF (7402) - Bochum, GERMANY - OCT 12, 2008
(bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a light-beige, medium-sized foamy head. Moderately sweet and toasted malty aroma with a touch of sugar beet and berry-fruity notes. Initially sweet malty and moderately toasted taste with notes of berries; light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation; medium-dry, slightly toasted finish with shy hops at the very end. Just okay, easy going (10.X.08).
