COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

JanLaursen (1121) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 22, 2011
Maroon clored with virtually no head. Fruity aroma with notes of orangewater, plums, caramel and liqueur. Taste is malty toffee-sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium, carbonation flat. Finish is moderate long, dry and bitter. ABV is well hidden. Nothing spetacular, but way better than the other offerings I’ve had from Gundestrup.

thewolf (8666) - Kolding, DENMARK - JAN 1, 2011
Bottle, bought @ Voldby Købmandsgård.
Hazy red amber with a small, firm, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, some berries, lots of malts, caramel, sugar, light toasted. Medium carbonation, fat and oily mouthfeel. Flavour has lots of malty and sugary sweetness, some Belgian sugar, mild viniousness, light liqourice. At first, it seems overly sweet and unbalanced, but there is some sublety and finesse in there. Light herbal, anise, mild strawberry, toasted, liqourice, figs and plums. Fine.
