Dark ruby with a big and lasting off-white head. Overwhelming and sickening anise aroma with a side of grainy malt. Sweet malty and spicy flavour, with a sugary sweetness. Lacks balance.

Dark orange colour, disappearing head. Aroma is strong on spices with clove. Feels actually a bit like unicum! Flavour has spices, clove and hints of coriander. Too spicy stuff, but decent still.

Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma is caramel, heavy spice, clove and staranise.Flavour is sweet caramel, heavy spice, clove and staranise. Sweet aftertaste. Way to spicy for me.

Bottle. Pours hazy brown coloured with a nice off white head. Aromas og glögg, star anise, cloves, syrup and oranges. Flavours of spices, caramel and dried fruit. Way too spicy and sweet. Not my kind of beer..

Sampled at DØE Beerfestival 2009, Esbjerg. Pours a reddish beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is staranis. The flavor is spices and staranis. The palate is sweet. Overall the beer is too sweet and has too many spices.
