3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle to shaker glass. Pours straw yellow, one finger quick head, some lacing. Aroma is floral and cereal. Taste is pretty balanced crisp bitter and light sweet malts. Light to medium bodied, lively carbonation, crisp mouth feel. Finishes dry, mildly bitter with notes of skunk, straw and flowery herbs. Good example of the style but like my pils a little more bitter. Not bad.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle, purchased today from Perfect Pour. Mostly clear golden orange color. Thin ring of white head. Dots of lace. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, crisp, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Kind of a straw, metallic taste to it. Some decent biscuity malt. Moderate bigger bitter taste for a pils, light sweet. OK pils. Kind of soft and metallic, bit of a macro cheap feel to it. Not great. Gets a bit better as it goes, but nothing complex, inspired, nor outstanding to this.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at the brewpub. Protypical Germanic pilsner, a nice surprise in rural PA. Crisp Germanic sting delivered in a light golden brew. Very good, classical pilsner. (#5371, 11/29/2013)

Bottle from Shawan Liquors. Pours yellow with a thin white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Not a lot on the nose. A bit dry on the tongue.mit definitely dries out the mouth of the finish. Eh! Not really feeling this one.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a hazy gold with a large, pillowy white head. Nice retention and lacing. A good looking beer if nothing else. The nose is slightly floral and grassy with a hint of grain. The flavor is well balanced with a hint of malt, grain, and noble hops. The slight grainy sweetness up front gives way to a nice noble hop bitterness on the back end. Medium bodied with a slightly oily mouthfeel giving way to a slightly crisp finish. A found this to be a pretty solid example and rather enjoyable.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Crisp, clean, and a well done representation of a German pilsner. Crystal clear and golden in color. Less bready than many, with the hay smell leaking down into the palate with a soft spike in bitterness at the finish. A phenomenal lawnmower beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold body with a small fizzy white head that fell to a thin covering. The malt portion of the nose is pretty nice, soft and bready with no noticeable sweetness, but the hops are a bit lacking. The Hallertau could be bumped up a bit. The flavor is pretty nice as well, adequately dry with doughy pils malt that finishes well. The hops do need to be bumped up a bit to add a bit of bitterness and give it a bit more snappiness on the finish. Light bodied and easy drinking with perfect soft carbonation. This one has some potential. Toss in a few more hops and this could be really good. It’s fermented and lagered pretty well.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Location: 12 oz bottle from State Line, 1/30/13
Aroma: The nose has some pale malts, white bread/biscuit, spice, grassy hops, and some earth
Appearance: A bright gold colored beer with a thin, quickly dissipating head and light lace spots
Flavor: The flavor is clean and malty, more bready than sweet, with some earthy hop bitterness
Palate: The body is light, crisp, and clean, it does drink a little watery, and has light dryness
I thought this was a decent example of the style. The early malt profile works nicely, but it gets a little more muddled in the later part of the palate. Ultimately, for what appears to be a brand new brewery, this is a plenty solid first offering.
