Cloudy brown beer with lasting thin brown head. Gentle easy drinker with big wheat. Soft banana undertone. Smooth.

Test vom 31.10.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,8,9,8,11,8 - 8,30

It’s unclear dark orange with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of yeast, wheat and banana. The sweet flavor has notes of yeast, banana and wheat. The finish is spicy.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Nice head. Tastes very strong and intense yeasty, well balanced warming finish. Very drinkable and good dark hefeweizen.

bottle. Cloudy amber-coloured beer with a large beige head. Malty and yeasty nose. Full-bodied, malty with hints of chocolate, roasetd malts and banana. Well-blanaced, smooth mouthfeel.

(bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Cloudy, bright amber colour with a thick and persistent foamy eggshell-coloured head. Yeasty and moderately sweet wheaty nose with solid fruity (citrus, tangerine) notes and a restrained phenolic touch. Sweet and sour, slightly tart flavour; yeasty and moderately wheaty taste with overripe fruits; quite light bodied, soft on carbon for a Hefeweizen; quite dry, light-bitter and slightly tart fruity finish. Fairly decent Ur-Weizen, which has definitely no attributes of a Dunkelweizen.

Bottled. Typical dunkelweizen aroma, with hints of banana, light caramel, hint of citrus. Cloudy, orange/brown color, beige head, good lace. Start plain, light sweet, light banana but the long lasting finish is great, more banana, caramel, roasted, hint of licorice, do I even recognize some smoke? Could use some extra body and a bit smoother. Otherwise it was be a real great dunkelweizen.
