Bottled. Golden amber colour with a full, generous, european styled head. Lovely sweat hop aroma and flavour. Bohemian flavour and sophistication. I'm not sure why the boys have panned this beer, I think it's quite good.

660ml bottle from Beers of Europe. In a similar vein to Bangla from the same brewery. Disappointing that it wasn’t brewed in Nepal. Aroma of straw & hops. Pale golden yellow colour. Biscuity hop flavour. A nice pale lager in a pretty bottle, perfect partner for a vegetable curry.

May 2009: Conned again by this brewery, thought I’d got a beer from Nepal, not the UK. My mission to drink around the world is getting bogged down by labels that hide the truth.
Anyway, this green 660ml bottle had 3 months life left when it was opened on a sunny Shropshire afternoon in my garden, the third beer in a pilsner/lager tasting. It came second in the scoring, beating two Greek and a Dutch beer, the winner coming from Sweden.
The beer was poured into a Veltins stemmed tulip and a vase shaped glass from the Watzdorfer brewery.
Slightly cloudy appearance with a pure white head. The body was a dull, old gold colour. The beer uses wheat as well as barley malts, so that may account for the hazy look.
Almost an aroma, weak cereal sniff, some yeast too (maybe). Gets my standard 3 for pilsner/lager non-smelling beers.
It had a pleasant taste and feel to it, a good mix of flavours and I found it interesting as well. The beer had some body, unusual for a lager.
Even though I was not happy to find this was brewed in the UK I enjoyed this ’premium lager beer’ as the front label calls it. I also was not happy when I had ’Bangla’ another fake exotic location beer from this brewery, but I liked that one too!

Bottled. Pale lager with a light aroma and light, malty and not that strong flavour. Overall a reasonable malty lager.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2007 £4 660ml bottle in a Nepalese restaurant. Seems I’ve been had a bit here. Soft, wheaty and impressively lacy. Grainily malty snout. Clean, crisp and slightly rubbery. Cereally afters. All malt and no hops. Forgettable but inoffensive Asian lager. From Sussex.

660ml bottle at the Swan Hotel, Hythe. Amber with a thin white head; sweet corn syrup aroma; quite full bodied, clean and slightly sweet but with good bitterness, and a dry finish. Better than I expected.

Appearance: Golden. Very little head.
Aroma: Very little. Bit of malt and fruit.
Taste: Fruity, bit of malt. Fresh. Something "herby" about it.

(Bottle 66 cl) UK version brewed by Hepworth in Horsham. Nice pilsener golden with a delicious, creamy head. Exotic, fruity nose - banana?? Very light-bodied with almost no bitterness. Slightly sweet and actually incredibly delicate and fresh. 170705
