33cl bottle from Bierzwerg. - Drinkable, but all elements taste far more watery & doughy than the extravagant recipe + marketing indicate. Not that spicy, not that black (transparent brown), bland but not vile.

Theydon_Bois (11617) - Tourist Town (West), Berkshire, ENGLAND - APR 6, 2015
Bottle from Leibick Getranke, split on the train to Ulm, 07/02/15. Murky chestnut brown with a moderate beige covering. Nose is malt forward, nutty trace, dark fruits, bread notes, light spice. Taste comprises biscuit, toffee, brown sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. A very basic beer, dull ... yawn.

Bottle Share with Theydon and Wingman. Hazy brown beer with no real head, rightly roasted malt, hint of coffee but otherwise a little bland.

Bottle. Dark brown color. No head. Apple syrup and a hint of roast in the aroma and flavor. Sweetish, low on carbon. Watery mouthfeel. Drinkable, not flawless.

(Gusswerk Black Betty) Bottle 330 ml, thanks to Sebilinz! Served into a tulip, ABV 5.4% Deep brown colour on the body but still transparent enough, good sized tan head on top, with good density and retention, leaving light lacing behind. Aroma of caramel, light malts, fortified wine, light toffee. Taste also of caramel, lots of metallic notes, toffee. Thin watery body. High carbonation. Nothing too offensive but not one I’d choose again.

330ml bottle. A very malty and coffee-like aroma. Dark brown color with a light brown-ish head. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Very soft carbonation with a quick but quite malty finish. Leaves some sweetness. Overall OK.

Bottle from Hoffstättner brewery shop. Pours almost bleach, with a big bubbly beige head. Roasted coffee nose and generally very tame old ale taste. Would have like to actually taste the alleged herbs...
