Bottle, 4.9% at BBF12. Rough hop aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Small frothy white head. The flavour is OK grainy and malty. Lagery, vinous, but rather clean.

330 ml bottle. Pours a clear light golden with a white head. Aroma of sweetish malts with grain and bread. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Medium sweetness with the flavor of sweet malts along with light fruity notes (stone fruits). Not overly special but a nice brew.

Aroma of herbs, hay, grass, slightly sweet malts. Pours a clear gold with little white head. The taste has dominant malt notes, a dash of salt. Very dry, bitter finish. Slightly watery, medium carbonation. It’s not thin, but could benefit from a fuller body. Specialty grain, but very similar to "the usual". A good, ecological alternative to regular austrian Märzen beers.

0,33l bottle. This beer has a strange taste: Somehow flat, boring, not good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at the brewery. Hazy, deep gold, effervescent, low thick head. Grainy, slightly worty nose, lemon. Sweet, biscuity, lemon and orange, grass. Not enough bitterness, but nice enough.

330 ml bottle bought at Great Food Hall in Pacific Place, Admiralty.

Clear golden colour with orange hue; Less than one-quarter finger head and soapy white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Fairly good sticky lacing and slight carbonation; Fairly pungent and sweet aroma of lager malt, with strong caramel, faint vanilla, light apple, light cardboard, sugar, light bread, yeast, thin lemon and faint grass; Mid to light sweet taste of light malt, with caramel, light wheaty dryness, light metallic, orangey notes, molasses, lemon, moderate bitter hops and very light grass; Light body, watery and dry palate; Mouth feel is light Pale Lager, dangerously close to a being a Happoshu. Barley is really light, the coarseness of spelt is manifested in a somewhat choking background. Wheaty dryness is notable, probably from einkorn. Pretty strong caramel and molasses throughout, Some low and dull lemony hops to round. Not that pleasant… Hoppiness is faint lemony grass in nose, and slightly stronger in taste. Very low bitterness for a very abrupt, light sweet finish; Fairly dry after taste. Quite easy but dull to mouth.

Comments: I think the addition of einkorn and spelt doesn’t really helps this beer - the strong caramel and slightly fruity aroma cannot hide its lightweight and groomy macro Pale / Happoshu-like taste. Dry and fairly refreshing, but not that enjoyable. Once is enough.

Edelguss is in the kellerbier family. Very clear compared to the Jacobsgold, served in a half-pint glass it has a very grainy nose giving me mostly biscuit and maybe hints of vanilla. Medium bodied with a light fruitiness, some caramel/almost buttery a simple beer but overall OK.

Tap at 5. Wiener Bierfest. Aroma is yeasty, young impression and light hops. Clear golden colour. Taste is mostly malty, honeyish, with only light hoppiness. Overall enjoyable and refreshing.
