courtesy of Toni Flükiger - clear brown beer with no head retention; aroma of green beans and bacon (sounds terrible but is actually pretty nice), undefined spicy tones (maybe nutmeg);pretty assertive and tasty palate; a solid malt backbone and a subtle yet fair carbonation; pretty dry and spicy malty finish with more notes of bacon - deeply original beer again from this brewery

Organic beer - interesting. Dark brown in the glass, malty herbal nose. The beer starts malty, liquorice, thick. The mainpart is a bit roasted, malty. Dark. A bit sweet. The aftertaste is long, slightly bitter, dark malt, caramel, a bit herbs. --> Nice beer! --> 12/10/11/12

Dark reddish brown, minimal head, aroma of molasses and yeast, kind of like a brewery would smell, if that makes sense. Taste of molasses, maybe coffee. Feels a bit thicker in the mouth than what you would expect. Very tasty,

Advent Calendar #19. I really enjoyed this doppelbock/dunklerbock mishmash! Tasted weird at the first sip as I was expecting an ale, but I warmed to it quickly and each one was progressively better. A sweet sticky lager, but when there’s dried fruit it works. Guessing the spice came in with the bitter finish, which seemed to have more oomph than that carried by hops? Though that might be psychosomatic.

Thanks to erzengel for sharing!! Pours a dark cola color with a loose tan head. The smell is malted milk, caramel, mild spice, dark fruit. The taste is in line with the nose ending dry with a bit of alcohol. The body is medium and slice with smooth, tight carbonation. A pleasant and complex brew.

Bottle in my Vienna Hotel. Hazy deep amber beer, decent pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and very slightly viscous. Mild fine carbonation. Creamy malt, good toffee streak. Touch of dried fruits and a whisper of red berry fruits. Subtle herbs. Creamy finish. Hangs together well and does a good job of hiding the alcohol.

Bottle from Erzbierschof, Bern
Red mahogany color with small head. It’s a solid caramelly brew, medium sweet, with just a light spicy and grassy touch; can pick some fruitiness too; ordinary bitterness; warming alcohol feeling.
I feared the weird ingredient, but it turned out pretty good.

Bottle 0,33 l from Amstein - St Légier (CH). Brown with average beige head. Aromas very malted, toffy-molasses, notes of alcohol, spices and dark fruits, hoppy and citric point. A taste round and warm, voluptuous of roasted caramel, notes of black cherries, grapes, full bread, molasses. Tasty Doppelbock with an original grassy touch in the bitterness coated with molasses and vinous hints.

Kita (1030) - Koper, SLOVENIA - MAY 14, 2014
Bottle, 0.33l. Murky ruby brown color with small, frothy, totally dimishing light brown head, body residue and sparkling appearance. Aroma of dried fruits, caramel and toasted malt, alcohol and herbal hops. Taste starts sweet malty and fruity, follows by burnt sugar, caramel and mild roasted malt, mouthfeel is alcoholic, warming and spicy, while finish is moderate bitter. Full body, oily texture and fizzy carbonation in palate. This one makes me more sleepy than horny :)
