3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, copper to deep amber colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Bready toast-malty aroma with caramel, peppery spice and delicately fruity hoppy notes. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Hearty toasted malt character with notes of bread crusts, caramel on a delicately fruity hoppy background; bitter-sweet toasty malty finish with a rising hops profile towards the aftertaste, containing mildly fruity and spicy notes. Heavily malty IPA, reminding me more of a dark Bock, nevertheless a likeable brew. 20.X.12

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 0.33l. Cloudy amber brown color with small, creamy, fully diminishing off-white head and poor lacing. Aroma is caremelly, nutty, moderate yeasty and fruity with orange peel notes. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel and toasted malt, following is fresh fruity, while finish is quite bitter with long aftertaste. Full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. It’s good, but seems to me so uncommon IPA, maybe because I prefer American aromatic hops...

Bottle 0.33 from Julius Meinl, Vienna. Red copper murky color, off-white frothy short lasting head. Strong aroma of hops and spices, some alkohol notes, red fruits. Tastes bitter, but pleasant, could be even more bitter. Full body, medium carbonation, nice aftertaste. Nothing wrong with this IPA.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Belle couleur brune; arômes et goût maltés; texture un peu crémeuse; ressemble plus à une stout qu’à une IPA; manque d’amertume; j’enlève 0.5 points car il y tromperie sur le style (ça n’est pas une IPA)

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle, bought @ Bierzwerg.de. Pours clear, dark red chestnut with a small, staying, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has sweet malts, biscuity, chewy, some strawberry, peach, light caramel. Medium carbonation, dry and fairly light mouthfeel. Flavour has caramel, quite malty sweet, some old cheese, light floral and fruity bitterness. Light strawberry. A bit dull.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Merkur Hoher Markt, Vienna. Beatiful appearance: Amber/brown clear body with massive, long-lasting, frothy, beige head with all kinds of differently sized bubbles. Foam leaves a lot of lacing. Wonderful fruit aroma of grapefruit, peach, pine, citrus, litchi and also dark fruits, side by side with a determined caramel, cocoa and malt roastyness. Unfortunately the taste doesn’t really keep what the aroma promises, only light tropical fruit notes, caramel, cocoa and roasted malt. Medium to thin body with a long bitter, roasty and slightly dry, slightly spicy finish. Overall a bit unbalanced. What a pity! As long as you look at it and smell it, this seems like a top class IPA, but the taste doesn’t live up to the aroma and the mouthfeel isn’t satisfying enough. At least it is somehow unique, because of the strong roasted malt presence and still one of the best IPAs from Austria.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Marhun, Darmstad, bb 29.04.14
Amber color, dark, hazy, with creamy head. This IPA focuses on the caramel, mellow, rather than the hops; bitter enough, without defined hop traits, although there are some resins; the final is also malty.

Moderate IPA, there are quite enough excessive.
