Riecht leicht nach Banane, aber nur ganz leicht, schmeckt im Antrunk stark nach Hefe und im Abgang leicht fruchtig mit ein bisschen Malz. Ein ganz schönes Weizen.

Bottled, 500ml at Stilbruch, Bamberg. Hazy yello gold with fizzed white head. This was a heady whiff of banana and pear drops, full of Wheat beer flavours and if you are a lover of the style this would be for you, but it’s not quite my thing. Still good though.

Banana and raisins taste with a delicate sour nute in finish. Full palate. Whitehead, stay longon top. Honey colour, hazy. One of the best hefeweizen for sure.

Hazy golden color with an amazing white head that keeps until the end. Aroma is fruity with notes of citrus, banana, yeast and bread. Flavor is malty and sweet with note also of yeast, bread and citrus. Medium to high carbonation with a medium to full body with a dry sweet yeast finish. Good one!

Bottle at home. Hazy orange pour, thin white head. Aroma of wheat and loads of banana. Flavor is smooth, fruity and sweet with a thick creamy body and very well drinkable. Great hefeweizen.

Pours very cloudy brownish yellow, with a big off-white head. Aroma is dominated with overripe bananas, but there are notes of bubblegum and some spices too. Taste is very versatile and lively. It begins with notes of malt and bread, then some banana, and finishes with notes of yeast and slightly sour citrus. Sweetish overall impression. Quite light mouthfeel and soft carbonation. The Gutmann is a good one! (0,5 l bottle, best before 8 May 2014)

0,5 l bottle, simple but good looking design. Cloudy yellow in the glass, big white head. Herb yeast and caramell on the nose. Starts in the same way, little bit dry. Later wheat, yeast and caramell. Not so sweet like other german Hefeweizen. Good one.

Shared a 50cl bottle from Maruhn (Darmstadt). Pours a cloudy pale yellow colour with a white fluffy and persistent head. Aroma is banana, citrus, spices and orange peel. Average carbonation and medium to light body. Taste is a well balanced harmony between sweet and bitter. Some bubblegum notes. Overall, a very good beer.

500ml Bottle from Beers of Europe (£2.29):
Banana & citrus with some orange peel and coriander thrown in initially.Very lively on the nose with some yeast coming through along with some spice and cloves. There is some wheat, a touch of bubblegum and a little bit of bread.
Light body before settling slightly darker as a medium, golden amber colour with a cloudy body and a large, two-fingers sized head that is very thick looking and stays well as a creamy white colour.
Banana with some spice before quickly being followed by some bubblegum and citrus flavours. There was some clove and orange peel too and a little wheat and yeast to see things out with.

Smooth with a light medium body with strong carbonation and a light, easy to drink feel to the beer. The mouthfeel seemed a little thin and watered down in places but from the most part it came across okay. Fruity and quite sweet & refreshing.

An enjoyable hefeweizen and my first new one in a few months. Not one I knew much about going in but as always Bavaria comes out on top when it comes to hefeweizens. A pretty good offering & well worth a try.
