50 cl bottle, 5.2%. Classic weizen appearance, cloudy orange colour with a massive head and lots of sediment in the bottle. Aroma is mildly fruity, classic weizen, softly citrusy with lots of yeast. Taste is nicely balanced with soft grasy hops. Medium to full bodied, proper carbonation, nice spicy finish. Reminds me of Weihenstephaner, very close to that one, and very neat. Nice hefeweizen, very good one.

A nice hefeweizen. Not as much head on it as Id like but the aroma is quite pleasing. The malt is pronounced and the yeast flavors dont come out as much as the wheat. Anyways, nothing spectacular but a respectable example of the style.

Corps assez onctueux. Pas trop mal

0.5 bottle. Very hazy, honey color and a large, creamy, white head. Beautiful aroma of bananas, wheat, bubblegum, and some vanilla. Taste is obviously sweet with a delicate, citric sourness; bananas, some clove, and a whole lot of wheat and hay. Light to medium body, slick texture, and lively carbonation. Finish brings in even more hay to the mix, not a fault but nor is it something I particularly enjoy. Overall a good beer but I’m trying to be impartial given my predilection for Weizenbiers, hence the mediocre grade.

This is one of my absolute favourite Weissbiers. It has a lot of hefe at the bottom which once swirled out and poured in leaves that fantastic cloudy look you want in a weizen. The flavour is a bit rich but really enjoyable. This is often in my fridge 😉.

0,5l bottle @ Blau Star. Pours hazy yellow with a high head. Aroma is malts with some wheat. Flavor is malts and wheat with notes of banana and yeast. A bit boring, but quite drinkable on a sunny day.

Poured a hazy orange amber with a frothy off white head. Aroma of caramel malt, spicy banana, lightly bready. Light to medium body, flavour as the aroma. Pretty decent attempt at the style.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2015 Ungeheuerlich. Fein, vielschichtig, weit. Palatal also so voll der Mouthwash, reinster Badeschaum. Angenehm unfashionable blau. Klappentext knapp, weitgehend sachlich („kontrolliert heimisch“?). Überaus zulässig die Behauptung GUTMANN GUTES BIER.
