Bottle at Reading 2006 (Sunday). Cloudy blonde. Sweet with lots of nice wheaty character, fruit - mostly banana and spice. A dangerously drinkable hefeweizen that succeeds without being outstanding.

Bottle (Utobeer): Cloudy yellow with a lasting white head. Bubblegum and spice in the nose, with some lovely clove and vanilla flavours. Light yeast and grains. Very refreshing.

500ml bottle. Hazy golden colour with small, firm, frothy to creamy, white head. Fruity, wheat malty and yeasty aroma with notes of citrus, rhubarb, apple. Taste is initially minimally tart and fruity with a citrus note, a moderately sweet malt touch gains ground, then yeasty and husky overtones take over.

Part of the Nurnberg Beer Raid 2011. 500 ml bottle at some store in Nürnberg, Germany. Is a hazy dark yellow color with a frothy white head. Sweet fruity aroma with wheat and yeast as well. Taste is wheat sweet flavor with banana fruity notes. Light dry and sweet palate.

Riecht fruchtig-rauchig. Der Geschmack ist hefedominiert und mit einer schwachen Fruchtnote unterlegt. Vor allem ab dem Mittelpart zeigen sich wässrige Züge, die der Süffigkeit nachhelfen, aber auch die Aromen verdünnen. Eher unspektakuläres Hefeweizen. Test vom 2.2.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Sehr hell und trüb, fast schon wie bei nem Bananenweizen, der feinporige Schaum steht super! Geruchlich ists leicht hefig, würzig und etwas säuerlich. Geschmacklich ists fruchtig, würzig, und im zweiten Nachgeschmack wird’s etwas bitter. Sehr ausgewogen, die Aromen harmonieren einfach super.

Ein hellgelbes Hefeweizen hat man auch nicht alle Tage im Glas. Dazu leicht trüb und eine sich schnell verflüchtigende Schaumkrone. Im Aroma nur eine säuerliche Hefenote. Der Antrunk ist es dann nur leicht fruchtig und etwas malzig geraten; zum Glück nicht so süß wie manch andere HW. Eine gute Dosis Kohlensäure lässt dieses Weißbier als Erfrischung rüberkommen. Gegen Ende zieht eine ordentliche Hopfennote an, was ungewöhnlich, aber sich nichtsdestotrotz positiv auswirkt. Zum ganz großen Wurf reichts leider nicht. Dafür fehlt es an typischen HW-Eigenschaften wie Fruchtig- u. Würzigkeit. Insgesamt aber trotz biederer Flasche ein solides Weissbier. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger.

Draft. Cloudy yellow in the glass with a tall, creamy, white head that leaves good thick lacing. Nice aroma of clove spices, banana, and wheat. The flavor follow much the same with a slight earthiness. Light body and a dry texture. Very nice hefe. (Rating from Sep ’07 in Germany)

Bottle. Light golden colour with a fluffy white head. Fairly standard wheat beer aroma, a bit metallic. Flavour is a bit tart with a dry finish
