50cl.

Ordentliches Ding!

Bottle: Pours a cloudy golden bronze with a big, well-lacing frothy white head. Aroma has nice banana, clove and sweet wheatiness with a good yeasty profile. Body starts fairly full and sweet with good authenticity and balance toward a doughy clove finish. A nice hefeweizen.

50cl bottle at Brauhaus, Edinburgh. Pours a stunning creamy yellow-brown with steady bubbles and a very generous head. The nose is very rich indeed, like full milk ice-cream. The taste is of more of the ice cream, some banana and just a touch of spice. The palate is rich in structure, very creamy in texture and it actually cleans very well. Lovely beer!

Part of the Nurnberg Beer Raid 2011. 500 ml bottle at some store in Nürnberg, Germany. Is a hazy dark yellow color with a frothy white head. Sweet fruity aroma with wheat and yeast as well. Taste is wheat sweet flavor with banana fruity notes. Light dry and sweet palate.

A lighter bodied hefeweizen, poured into hefe glass. Hazy golden color with creamy, fluffy head, light in the mouth, without tasting or feeling watery.Nice pleasant sweetness along with the usual hefe flavors. A well done weizen from Gutmann.

Bottle. Head is initially large, frothy, white, fully lasting. Body is hazy light to medium yellow, unfiltered. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of banana, lemon, pepper. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety/creamy texture, lively carbonation. Pleasant and clean nose but could use more phenolic character to balance the juicy banana and lemon. Nice attic-like yeast. Luscious and full bodied, rich and difficult to stop salivating for another sip...could use a bit more tartness for balance, but sometimes these sweet renditions just work somehow. Not as crazy good as the Weizenbock by any stretch, but still great.

50 cl bottle, 5.2%. Classic weizen appearance, cloudy orange colour with a massive head and lots of sediment in the bottle. Aroma is mildly fruity, classic weizen, softly citrusy with lots of yeast. Taste is nicely balanced with soft grasy hops. Medium to full bodied, proper carbonation, nice spicy finish. Reminds me of Weihenstephaner, very close to that one, and very neat. Nice hefeweizen, very good one.

Golden and opaque with foam high (typical Weissbier). Fruity aroma: banana, clove, citrus. Wheat flavor with noticeable bitterness and acidity perfectly balanced. It’s a great weizen, indicated by German friends of the Bavarian region. I highly recommend it!

hazy yellow colour, moderate white head; aroma of citrus, yeast with banana notes; taste of malty sweetness with citrussy-wheaty sourness and banana again; great weizen, although the aroma is not fully convincing
