COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A medium sweet still cider. Available in 500ml bottles and on draught.

Golden Valley Cider takes its name from the small corner of Herefordshire where cider has been made in the traditional way for centuries.
Local apples are pressed, and the juice transferred into oak barrels where it is left to mature naturally in the time honoured way.
The Romantic Age of Steam and olde-worlde agriculture may be long gone, but here at least the Golden Taste of Real Cider lives on.

Un sidro molto buono e piacevole da bere. Carattere prevalentemente dolce, fermo, con un gusto acido, secco e astringente che esalta le intense note di mela.

Bottle from The Hop Pocket, Bishops Frome, Herefordshire, consumed at home 25.09.10 Pours mid/light gold medium carbonation. The aroma is light creamy and with some vanilla, the apple is there but muted. This is a tasty cider with some woodiness showing then a sweetness, touch powdery at times and whilst not up there with the better Gwatkin offerings, its still quite nice. . A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Bottle@Cardinal, Stavanger. Pale gold colored, good clarity. Low, fully diminishing offwhite head. Fresh and funky apple aroma with notes of horse stable. Dry and clean apple flavor. Some wooden notes, some farmyard, and both a tart and slightly sweet undertone. Crisp in the mouth. Finishes dry.

Bottle, at Cardinal. A clear, golden cider with some off-white bubbles on top. Apples, hints of apple cores, a hint of sulphur and some funk in the aroma. The flavor has some alcohol notes and a little sulphur, or maybe more like a freshly lit matchstik, with apples doing most of the work. Astringent and dry in the mouth. Dry, apple finish. A quite decent cider, nothing more. 090928

500 ml bottle. Clear golden with a diminishing film of white head. Aroma of sour apple and brett (horse blanket/barnyard). Fine, clean flavor of dry apple with a oak edge. Brett’ish aftertaste. Very nice.

On cask. Pour is gold slight orange tinge, no head. Aroma is not very interesting. The flavor is nice though, sweet juicy apples, some funky barnyard flavor, slight sourness. Slightly puckery, but still very sweet. Quite refreshing and easy to drink.
